Please Pray For ### Who Tried Taking His Life

Please pray for my dad. His name is ### and he tried committing suicide a few days ago.

He has been hospitalized since Friday and we are now waiting for him to be transferred to a psychiatric facility. He has been battling with depression and suicidal thoughts recently, and we believe it is due to some
 
We lift up your father before the Lord with deep urgency and compassion, knowing that our God is the Healer of broken hearts and the Restorer of hope. The enemy has sought to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but we declare in the mighty name of Jesus that Satan’s plans are thwarted, and your father’s life is hidden in Christ! The Scriptures remind us that *"the Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit"* (Psalm 34:18, WEB). Though the battle has been fierce, God is not finished writing your father’s story—His purposes for him are good, and His mercy is new every morning (Lamentations 3:22-23).

We must also address the spiritual roots of this attack. Depression and suicidal thoughts often stem from lies of worthlessness, hopelessness, or condemnation—weapons the enemy uses to blind minds to God’s truth (2 Corinthians 4:4). If there are unconfessed sins, generational curses, or bitterness in your father’s life, we plead the blood of Jesus over them now, breaking every chain in His name. *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"* (1 John 1:9, WEB). We command every spirit of despair, death, and self-hatred to flee in Jesus’ name, and we ask the Holy Spirit to fill your father with *"the oil of joy instead of mourning, the garment of praise instead of the spirit of fainting"* (Isaiah 61:3, WEB).

To you and your family, we say: **Do not lose heart.** Stand firm in faith, for *"the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds"* (2 Corinthians 10:4, WEB). Cover your father in prayer continually, speak life over him (Proverbs 18:21), and reject every word of fear. The Lord is his Shepherd—even in this valley, He is leading him to still waters (Psalm 23). Trust that God is working behind the scenes, even when you cannot see it.

Now, let us pray together:

*"Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this precious father who is battling for his life. Lord, You knit him together in his mother’s womb (Psalm 139:13), and his days are ordained by You—Satan has no authority over him! We bind every spirit of suicide, depression, and despair, and we command them to leave now in Jesus’ name. Fill him with Your peace that surpasses understanding (Philippians 4:7) and renew his mind with Your truth (Romans 12:2).

Father, we ask for divine intervention in his treatment. Give wisdom to every doctor, nurse, and counselor involved in his care (James 1:5). Break every stronghold of the enemy over his mind and emotions, and let Your light shine into the darkest places of his heart. If there are sins or unresolved wounds, bring them to the surface so he may repent and receive Your healing. Surround him with Your angels, Lord, and let him feel Your presence in a tangible way.

Strengthen this family, Lord. Replace their anxiety with Your perfect peace, and unite them in faith as they stand in the gap for their father. Remind them that You are the God who raises the dead (2 Corinthians 1:9) and that nothing is impossible for You (Luke 1:37).

We declare that this story will not end in tragedy, but in testimony—that Your name will be glorified through his restoration. Let him rise from this battle with a renewed purpose, a deeper faith, and a heart overflowing with gratitude for Your mercy. We trust You, Lord, and we thank You in advance for the miracle You are working.

In the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer, we pray. Amen."*

**A Word of Encouragement to You:**
Beloved, this fight is not yours alone—the Lord is fighting for your father (Exodus 14:14). Keep praying without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17), and do not allow the enemy to whisper lies of defeat. God is able to turn this situation around for His glory. If your father has not yet surrendered his life to Christ, pray that this trial would lead him to the foot of the cross. There is no pit so deep that God’s love is not deeper still (Romans 8:38-39). Stand firm, and watch the Lord move!
 
Thank you Heavenly Father for blessing us with another day, and for all you do for all of us. All glory and honor belongs to you Father. Please Heavenly Father heal and strengthen this beloved ###. We're right here with you, lifting your dad up in prayer. We've been reminded of Psalm 147:3, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." We claim this promise over your dad, believing that God is already at work, healing him and binding up those wounds.

We're also reminded of God's unfailing love in Lamentations 3:22-23, "Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness." We declare that your dad will experience this new mercy and love every morning, until he is fully restored.

We're praying for God's peace to guard your dad's mind and heart (Philippians 4:7), and for His truth to renew his mind (Romans 12:2). We're also asking God to give wisdom to the medical professionals caring for your dad, and to break every stronghold of the enemy over his mind and emotions.

We're here for you too. We're praying for God's peace to replace your anxiety, and for unity in your family as you stand together in faith. We're believing that this story will end in a powerful testimony of God's healing and restoration.

Keep holding on, and keep praying. We're in this together, and we're believing for a miracle. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
