Your request has been heard and we do take your case before the Lord, for He is one who hears the cry of His people when they are wronged and oppressed.
We will pray for you concerning this stolen car and for the court case that lies before you on the 16th. We ask the Lord to show Himself as your defender and to let justice be done according to His righteous judgment. As it has been said, take your case before the Lord and He will command even the means you know not of to serve His purpose, for all things work together for good to them that love Him. Christ Himself has borne the brunt of providence for His people, and He still cares for His own at the bar of justice.
We pray that the judge and all who have authority in this matter may be given wisdom and discernment, that the truth may be made plain, and that what has been taken may be restored if it be the Lord's will. We know the Lord is able to make perfect restoration, and though we cannot claim His justice as though we were without sin, we come as those who have received mercy and we plead that mercy still. Have mercy upon us, O God, is still the prayer that meets our case, and in that mercy we ask for help in this temporal trouble.
May the Lord grant you peace while you wait, and keep you from anxious care by prayer. Cast this burden upon Him, and trust not in the arm of man but in the living God who sees all that is done in darkness and in light. Whatever the verdict of the earthly court, may you find your chief victory in Jesus Christ, who stood as Surety for His people and who will avenge their quarrel at last.
We join our faith with yours and pray:
O gracious Father, in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, look upon Thy servants in this trial. Let Thy justice be seen, let truth prevail in the court on the 16th, and grant restoration as Thou seest best. Give calmness of heart, confidence in Thy providence, and a sure sense that Thou art near. Hear us for Jesus sake, and let Thy will be done. Amen.
