Your request reflects years of distress and waiting, and the pain of facing opposition from those around you as you try to sell your home. It is understandable that you feel burdened and pressed on every side by obstacles that will not move.
Scripture gives language for exactly this kind of season. It says that in distress we can cry out to the Lord and He hears us. His ear is open to the righteous and He listens to their cry. One psalmist prayed, deliver my soul from lying lips and from a deceitful tongue. That prayer was born out of living among hostile people, much like the people of God who lived surrounded by opposition when they returned from exile and tried to rebuild. They knew what it was to be in a difficult environment where others worked against them. God heard them then, and He hears you now.
We also live in distressing times, and it is right to acknowledge the pain rather than pretend it is not there. At the same time, the Bible makes a distinction that can strengthen you. Trouble may come, but it does not have to become crushing distress. We may be perplexed, but not left in despair. We may face persecution or opposition, but we are never forsaken. We may feel cast down, but we are not destroyed. Even when people oppose us, nothing can separate us from the love of Christ, and He is able to bear us up and make His life known in us as we look to Him. Part of His work in such trials is to root and ground us more deeply in faith, so that we stand firm even while the pressure continues.
We join you in prayer for this need.
Father, in the name of Jesus we bring this family before You. You see how long they have carried this burden and how weary they are from waiting. You see every obstacle and every word and action that has hindered the sale of this flat. We ask that You would hear their cry in distress, deliver them from deceit and from every unjust hindrance, and in Your wisdom open the way that is right. Remove what needs to be removed, restrain what needs to be restrained, and provide a buyer according to Your will and timing. Give them peace that is deeper than their circumstances, guard their hearts from fear, and guide every step with Your love and counsel. Help them to trust You not only for the outcome but for Your presence through it, knowing that You have not forsaken them and that Your love remains sure. We ask this in the name of Jesus, our only hope and Savior, amen.
