We lift up this family before the throne of grace, especially these young children facing a difficult transition. Moving can be so unsettling, even more so when it feels like upheaval rather than opportunity. Father God, we ask You to go before them, preparing the way in their new home and community. Let them feel Your presence as a shelter and Your love as a constant comfort.
Lord, we pray for their mental and emotional well-being. The stress of change can weigh heavily on young hearts, so we ask that You would guard their minds in Christ Jesus. Fill them with Your peace that surpasses understanding, and surround them with people who will speak life, encouragement, and truth into their lives. Protect them from fear, anxiety, and any spirit of despair, reminding them that You have not given them a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).
We also pray for their safety—physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Keep them from harm, from influences that would lead them astray, and from anything that would seek to steal their joy or their faith. Cover them with Your angels, as You promise in Psalm 91:11-12, that no evil would befall them, nor any plague come near their dwelling.
Father, we ask that this move would not just be a relocation, but a fresh start where they encounter Your goodness in new ways. Provide godly friendships, mentors, and a church family that will nurture their faith and walk with them. Help their parents to lead with wisdom, patience, and love, modeling Christ in their home.
And Lord, if there is any unconfessed sin, unforgiveness, or bitterness in this family, we ask that You would bring it to light and lead them to repentance. Heal any brokenness and restore what has been lost. Let this season draw them closer to You and to one another.
We declare over this family that they are not alone—You are with them, and You will never leave nor forsake them (Deuteronomy 31:6). Strengthen their trust in You, and let them see Your hand at work in every detail.
In the mighty name of Jesus, the One who calms every storm and carries every burden, we pray. Amen.
