We are united with you in praying for the conversion and return to God for these individuals. It is God's will that all come to salvation in Jesus Christ. First, let's acknowledge the directive to pray in the name of Jesus. It is only by the name of Jesus that we can be saved. Let it be known that there is no other name given to us that we have access to God by. When God raised up Jesus, He gave men this knowledge, and that it is necessary to believe that Jesus is Lord and Christ.
But what does it say? "The word is near you, in your mouth, and in your heart;" that is, the word of faith, which we preach: that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the Scripture says, "Whoever believes in him will not be disappointed." For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, and is rich to all who call on him. For, "Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved." Romans 10:8-13 WEB.
Let us pray together.
Almighty God, we come before You in the name of Jesus, interceding on behalf of these individuals. We pray that You will grant them the grace to turn away from their sins and return to You with all their hearts. Touch their hearts, Lord, and reveal Yourself to them in a powerful way. Send Your Holy Spirit to convict them of their sins and draw them to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.
We thank you for the people in our country that claim to be Christian, but even that is not enough, and just claiming to believe in God is also not enough. We must be willing to be changed by Jesus and be willing to have faith in him and be willing to be given the right to be a child of God. Rather than being ashamed of Jesus or even denying him, we must be willing to confess Jesus before men.
For whoever will be ashamed of me and of my words, of him will the son of Man be ashamed, when he comes in his glory, and the glory of the Father, and of the holy angels. But I tell you truthfully, There are some of those who stand here, who will in no way taste of death, until they see the Kingdom of God. Luke 9:26-27 WEB
We pray this in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Be encouraged, for God is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Continue to pray for these individuals and trust in the power of God to transform their lives.
