Please Pray For The World To Get Back To Truth And Righteousness

The world is falling into a downward spiral faster and faster every day. People are turning against God and turning towards wickedness. It says in Isaiah 5:20: Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter.

The devil is working in people to convince others that evil is good (sexual immorality, homosexuality, and even against religion itself). The sad thing is, even those who profess to be believers in Christ, are being deceived. This is alarming. I just want to pray for this world...that people turn back towards the truth and away from the lies that the devil is trying to fool people with. It is scary and it is real. This is not the time to compromise, but to get with the ways of God and not of man. Please pray for this world and its people to embrace righteousness and to get saved again and not let the devil win, because that is what is happening, sadly.

You couldn't be more right.  We must all do penance for our personal sins as well as the sins of others. We must all pray daily. We must not be afraid to say the truth in love. It bothers me about homosexuality especially -- It is not a sin to be a homosexual. It is a sin to act on the homosexual urges. People who are homosexual are in the same boat as people who are single like I am -- We just plain old are not supposed to be having sex. Not easy, but doable with God's help. I also think that this emphasis on sex, sex, sex in general is so unwholesome and hedonistic. It makes children lose their innocence at such  a young age. I have a nephew Michael who is only seven. Sometimes stuff comes on TV, and I want to throw my body over the TV to shield him. Children have a latency period where they really are not sexual -- it is an important stage that actually prepares them for healthy marriages later. You cut into that latency period, you really mess them up. Another point -- I believe homosexuality may be genetic up to a point. However, I also believe that boys who are deprived of fathers are at great risk, and the statistics bear me out.  I also believe because the society is saying it is okay to experiment with all sorts of sex, you are getting people who are just confused about their sexuality. But back to main point -- God sometimes gives heavy crosses. If a gay person can  not change his/her orientation (and this can be done, especially if what they call gender confusion is caught at an early age), then he/she must abstain from sex for life. The homosexual orientation is no more of a sin than my state of being single is a sin. If God does not send me a husband, then I have to remain chaste. It is not this horror people think it is. I wish I had husband, but I do not need sex in order to be a happy human being. Yours in Christ, Lamb.

Lamb, I agree with you.  Homosexuality is a sickness.  I see it like Alcoholism.  Some babies are born being alcoholics because they were predisposed to it in the womb.  But it doesn't mean we should make this acceptable for all or legal.  If we have a condition, whatever it may be, we have to ask God to help us turn away from it and give us strength.  Not have this mentality of, if you can't be them, join them. That is therefore condoning the behavior.  Because of all of this, people are turning away from God, because it doesn't fit their idea of being "free" or doing what they want.  They don't want that guilt.  There has to be a limit.  There has to be a moral and spiritual law that we must follow.  And about being single, I am also...but I know that I cannot go around and sleep with whoever I want.  I'll feel guilty.  

And I will betroth you to me forever. I will betroth you to me in righteousness and in justice, in steadfast love and in mercy. I will betroth you to me in faithfulness. And you shall know the Lord. Hosea 2:19-20.  I like this verse.  It's better to know we are in partnership with God and he will give us love and help us walk in righteousness.  If not, we will be tempted by things of the world.  That is what is happening to so many people...hence, the situation the world is in now.
