Please pray for the restoration of our loving relationship ...

Please pray for the restoration of our loving relationship and restoration of a crumbling marriage.

We (my wife and I) have known each other for almost ### years (our first date) and have been married for over ### years.

Through that time, our marriage - like most - has experienced ups and downs, but it was always clear that we loved each other and that we would cycle out of "bad occasions" into primarily good to very good cycles of much greater lengths.

Recently however (over the last several months to ### years maybe) she has become, well, almost as if possessed. She rejects anything romantic or (especially) intimate. Doesn't like even receiving romantic notes, cards, etc. And has made it clear that she is "comfortable" with that type of relationship (what relationship?) and "thinks that she loves me"...

She absolutely refuses to seek help with this problem (when we tried it a couple of years ago, she stopped her individual therapy when her therapist started getting close to "uncomfortable areas" - and on ### separate occasions walked out of marriage counseling sessions when it was my turn to talk and the counselor would not let her "shout me down"... of course finally leaving the counselor no choice but to terminate the sessions.)

This not only is NOT the woman that I married, but is not the woman who loved me so dearly just a few years ago. And the change has not been subtle, but very drastic. And there is NOT another person in the picture (man or woman) as far as a love connection.

My life has become one of misery and I must admit that the thought of simply ending it has crossed my mind on more than one occasion... of doing just that to just STOP the pain..

I do not know how much longer I can hold out.

PLEASE.

I request prayer to the strongest degree that you can... before it is simply too late. (I must admit that the pain has been so bad as to approach becoming unbearable)

Thank you for any extra effort that you would make available.

Hello ###, we stand with you in the grief and pain that you are feeling. I know all too well what brings you here. Not just the pain and fear but the hope that the prayer of us coming together with you would bring some comfort. I am going through the pain of divorce. My wife after ### years walked out and will not even talk to me. I thought our lives together was one that could manage everything. Not really a harsh word between us. You must try and hold on. With all your heart pray and lift your spouse to our God. We as people in a world that seems to be falling more and more apart have got to keep our faith.

God is what we must trust in because in a world of free will there is little else we can do but pray and believe he will see to these matters. Love each other, try and talk or keep communication open. But to press beyond that without the help of our Father involved may turn out less than what you should want.

I must also say if you and your spouse have not accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior you should also consider time spent with him. Ask forgiveness and pray that the Holy Spirit guide you both. We are all sinners, myself as more than most here.

I will pray for both of you. With all my heart, I pray that God bring a reconciliation of your love back to your marriage.

Dear Jesus, help us we cry out to you, the devil is seeking to destroy us, but your word tells us that the fight is not ours but yours, so Father let us rest in the truth of your Holy Word and in the shelter of your mighty wings, where there is healing, knowing that the battle is already won. Father, I lift up the prayer request to your throne, knowing that whatever the answer is, that you are doing what is best for us, give us peace for our troubled mind and hearts, we cast off the old man and are reborn through your blood that covers our sins and heals our hurts, we bend as the leaves bend in the wind, tossed and tormented but never forgotten because where there is sadness, there is strength also as we run to your loving arms, knowing you are always ready to lead us to the safety that only you can bring to our lives. Lord, give us a new song in our hearts, one that lifts our Spirits and refreshes us in Jesus' name. Amen.
