Our daughter has recently become deeply drawn to anime. She has been secretly purchasing manga and anime merchandise online without telling us, and occasionally goes to watch related movies. We initially thought it was due to the pressure of preparing for her entrance exams, so we allowed her some space to relieve stress, choosing to turn a blind eye to her behavior. However, today we were alarmed to discover that the frequency and amount of her online purchases far exceed what we had imagined—and well beyond the allowance we’ve given her. Just last night, she even snuck out in the middle of the night to pick up a package from a convenience store. We’re very concerned that she may have borrowed money from her friends, and we’re also worried about her safety going out late at night. It feels impossible to anticipate and prevent every action a child might take, and it’s left us feeling troubled and overwhelmed. We sincerely ask for your prayers: In the name of Jesus, we pray for the bondage of anime over our daughter to be broken. May trust and harmony be restored within our family. We also ask Jesus to help our daughter focus wholeheartedly on her entrance exam preparations, so that she may be admitted into her desired program this July and walk in the destiny that God has prepared for her. In this case, it seems like there is an unhealthy fixation or bondage with anime, which can be a form of idolatry. It is replacing time that could be spent with God and family and causing deceitful behavior. Anything that controls us other than the Holy Spirit is a form of bondage. Therefore, let us pray for your daughter's deliverance from this bondage and for her to prioritize her relationship with God.
Submitting yourselves therefore to God resist the devil and he will flee from you. James 4:7

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, seeking Your intervention in our daughter's life. We pray that You break any bondage of anime over her and draw her closer to You. Help her to see that her worth and identity are found in You alone, and not in worldly possessions or interests.

We ask that You restore trust and harmony within our family. Guide us as parents to provide the love, support, and boundaries that our daughter needs. Help us to be patient, understanding, and firm in our actions.

Lord, we also pray for our daughter's focus and determination as she prepares for her entrance exams. Help her to prioritize her studies and to use her time wisely. Guide her into the program that You have prepared for her, and help her to walk in Your destiny for her life.

We also ask for wisdom in teaching our daughter the meaning of money and its proper handling. We ask this in the powerful name of Jesus Christ.

Regarding practical steps, it is important to set clear boundaries and expectations for your daughter. Teach her about the dangers of deceit, the value of money, and the importance of open communication.

We've been reminded of Proverbs 22:6, "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it." Let's continue to guide her with love and patience, helping her to make wise choices.
