Please pray for ### salvation

Juestead

Disciple of Prayer
Hello all,

Please pray for ### to have a revelation that Jesus is God so that He might receive Him and be born again.

He believes im God and Jesus but he is not sure that Jesus is God. His background is Jehovah Witness though He does not practice any of it now. He has also encountered Christians overtime as well. He says thats the only part he is not sure of because the Christians show their proof in their Bible and the Jehovah show their proof in their Bible.

He wants to believe but not sure. I encourage Him to read the Bible for himself and ask the Lord to reveal Jesus to him.

Sometimes he seem so close yet so far. He seem to understand a lot from the Bible and agree with it. The Christian Bible I mean.

But I know the most important thing is Him being born again and receiving the Spirit of Jesus. And it is this I ask for you all to please pray for.

Thank you so much!!!

A Passion for Souls
We join you in lifting up this dear one before the throne of grace and we thank you for your faithful love and burden for his soul. We share your longing to see him truly born again and filled with the Spirit of Christ, for we know that without being born anew no one can see the Kingdom of God. John 3:3 says Jesus answered him, Most certainly, I tell you, unless one is born anew, he cannot see the Kingdom of God.

We want to gently and firmly address what is keeping him in confusion. There is not a Christian Bible and a Jehovah's Witness Bible as if both are equally valid. There is one true Word of God, and the New World Translation used by Jehovah's Witnesses has been altered to deny the deity of Christ. This is a false teaching that blinds minds. 2 Corinthians 4:4 says in whom the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving, that the light of the Good News of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should not dawn on them. We must rebuke that deception, for it denies the very heart of the gospel that Jesus is God come in the flesh.

Scripture is abundantly clear that Jesus is God. John 1:1 says In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. John 1:14 says The Word became flesh, and lived among us. We saw his glory, such glory as of the one and only Son of the Father, full of grace and truth. Jesus Himself said in John 10:30 I and the Father are one. and in John 8:58 Jesus said to them, Most certainly, I tell you, before Abraham came into existence, I AM. Thomas confessed in John 20:28 My Lord and my God. and Jesus did not correct him. Colossians 2:9 says For in him all the fullness of the Deity dwells bodily. Titus 2:13 calls Him our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ. Hebrews 1:8 says But of the Son he says, Your throne, O God, is forever and ever. Isaiah 9:6 foretold For to us a child is born, to us a son is given and his name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. To deny that Jesus is God is to deny who He is, and there is no salvation apart from believing in Him as Lord and God. Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. Romans 10:9 says that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

We encourage you to continue as you are doing, urging him to read the true Scriptures for himself and to ask the Father to reveal the Son to him. James 1:5 says But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach and it will be given to him. No man can reveal this truth to him by argument alone, it must be revealed by the Holy Spirit. Matthew 16:17 shows that this revelation comes from the Father. We encourage him to read especially the Gospel of John and to pray sincerely, Lord, if Jesus is You, reveal Him to me. We pray that the veil will be lifted and that God, who said Light will shine out of darkness, will shine in his heart. 2 Corinthians 4:6

We now pray together.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, we come before You for this precious man who wants to believe but is held back by confusion and the false teaching he was raised in. We ask You to draw him to Yourself, for John 6:44 says no one can come to Him unless the Father draws him. Lord, remove the blinding influence of that deception and open the eyes of his heart. Reveal to him by Your Holy Spirit that Jesus is God, the Word made flesh, the Mighty God, the great God and Savior, One with the Father. Give him a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Christ. Cause him to see his need for forgiveness and to confess with his mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in his heart that You raised Him from the dead. Cause him to be born again, to receive the Spirit of Jesus and to become a new creation in Christ. Give him hunger for Your true Word and deliver him from every counterfeit. We thank You that You desire all to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. We trust You to finish the work You have begun in him and we ask all this in the mighty and only saving name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and our God. Amen.

Thank you for sharing this burden with us. We hear your love for your friend and how deeply you want him to truly know Jesus and be born again.

It makes sense he feels stuck when he has heard confident arguments on both sides. That back and forth can leave a sincere person wanting to believe but unsure where truth rests. Your instinct to encourage him to go directly to the Lord and ask Him to reveal Himself is a gentle and wise way to walk with him. We cannot argue someone into new birth, only God can open eyes and give new life.

We are encouraged that he is open and willing to read the Christian Bible and talk honestly about what he finds. Continuing to read together at his pace, perhaps slowly through one Gospel, and giving him space to bring his questions without pressure can keep the door open for the Spirit to work. Your steady friendship and prayer matter more than having the perfect answer in the moment. It is understandable to feel he seems so close yet so far, but God sees his seeking and your faithfulness.

Father, we lift this man to You. Draw him to Yourself and reveal Jesus to him as Lord and God, so he may receive Him and be born again by Your Spirit. Give our sister peace as she loves him well, with patience, wisdom and hope in You. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

We join you in earnest prayer for this dear soul, and we thank you for your faithful burden for his salvation.

You have put your finger upon the very hinge of the matter. If Jesus is God, He must be believed and worshiped as such, or else there is no participation in the salvation which He has provided. The Scriptures are full of Christ, and they declare plainly His Deity, His blood redemption, and His glory with the Father and with the Holy Spirit. Without Grace from Jesus we are without hope, but if we have Grace from Jesus we shall have glory with Jesus.

It is well that you encourage him to read the Bible for himself and to ask the Lord to reveal Jesus to him, for flesh cannot discern spiritual things. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and nothing more. That which is born of the Spirit is spirit. A man must be born again. Peter had heard others speak, but he did not know Jesus as the Christ till the Father revealed Him. Paul tells us he received the Gospel not of man, neither was he taught it by man, but by the Revelation of Jesus Christ. God uses means and instruction, yet the Father who sent Jesus must also make Jesus known to each one of us, or we shall remain in ignorance of Him. No searching of man can find out God, no, not even God in Christ Jesus, except the Spirit open the eyes.

We understand his perplexity, having been shown one thing in one book and another thing in another. But there is but one true Word of God, and it testifies from beginning to end that Jesus is God over all, blessed for ever, the Redeemer who by His own blood has redeemed us unto God. This is not a general hope but a particular redemption for all who trust Him alone. He will never be a part Savior. It is written, He that believes on Him shall not be ashamed, and whoever believes on Him, on Him alone, shall be saved. To look to Jesus, even with a trembling and newly given faith of but a few minutes old, is to be saved, for it is looking from self to Christ.

We will pray, and we ask you to continue praying with us, that the Lord in His sovereign mercy will grant what no argument of man can grant.

Our prayer is that the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ would shine light into his heart, that he may see the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ and confess with Thomas, My Lord and my God. That he may be brought to simple faith, to look unto Jesus and be saved, to trust not in himself or in any system, but wholly upon the cross. That he may be born again by the Spirit, made a new creature in Christ Jesus, moved to desire holiness and to long to be like Jesus, and that he may receive the Spirit of Christ and know that he belongs to Christ.

May the Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with him, to raise him up and set him on his feet, as He did fallen Peter. May that same Grace be with you as you wait and witness, till the day breaks and the shadows flee away. We encourage you to keep placing the true Scriptures before him, to keep pointing him to Christ, and to keep pleading that the Lord would do what only the Lord can do.

We commend him to Him who is able to save to the uttermost all that come unto God by Him, for Jesus' sake. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!
