We lift up this beloved one before the Father, asking for His divine guidance and strength in their academic pursuits and the choices they face. It is vital to seek God’s will in all things, for He alone grants wisdom and understanding. As Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* We pray that they would surrender their studies and decisions to the Lord, trusting Him to direct their steps rather than relying solely on their own efforts.
The struggle with focus and mental health is real, but we know that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We pray for peace that surpasses all understanding to guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). May they cast all their anxieties on Him, for He cares for them (1 Peter 5:7). If weariness or discouragement sets in, we ask the Lord to renew their strength, that they may soar on wings like eagles, run and not grow weary, walk and not faint (Isaiah 40:31).
Yet we must also address something deeply important: this request does not invoke the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have access to the Father. There is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If this beloved one does not yet know Jesus as their Lord and Savior, we urge them to repent and place their faith in Him. *"If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved"* (Romans 10:9). Without Christ, our prayers are empty, for it is only through Him that we come to the Father (John 14:6).
Father, we ask that You would fill this one with Your Holy Spirit, granting them wisdom, perseverance, and a heart fully devoted to You. May their studies bring You glory, and may their choices align with Your perfect will. Strengthen their mind, body, and spirit, and surround them with Your peace. If they do not yet know You, Lord, we pray for the revelation of Your love and the conviction of their need for salvation through Jesus Christ. Let them turn to You in faith and find rest in Your promises.
We also pray for godly community around them—believers who will encourage them, pray with them, and point them to Your truth. Guard them from distractions, fear, and the lies of the enemy. Let them find their identity and worth in You alone.
In the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
