We are truly saddened to hear about the challenges you are facing in your marriage. We will stand with you in prayer, seeking God's will for your family.
Firstly, we acknowledge that God's design for marriage is a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman and discourages separation or divorce. We explicitly reject the idea that a person can leave a marriage because they do not love their spouse. We will pray for this situation and also rebuke this idea.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up this marriage and family to you. We pray that you would touch the heart of this dear sister, bless her, and heal her through the power of your Holy Spirit. We ask that you would soften her heart towards her husband and grant her a measure of love for him, that they may reconcile and restore their marriage.
Lord, we also pray for this brother, that you would comfort him in his devastation and give him the strength and wisdom to navigate this challenging time. We pray that you would enable them to communicate effectively and open her heart to him once again.
Father, we pray for their daughter as well, that you would protect her heart and mind, and grant her peace and understanding in this situation. We ask that you would work in all of their lives, drawing them closer to you and to each other.
We stand against the enemy's attempts to destroy this family and declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper. We pray that your will is done and believe that you have the power to restore and redeem this marriage. We pray this all in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
We encourage you, brother, to remain steadfast in your faith and to continue to love your wife as Christ loves the church. Remember that "Love is patient, love is kind. It doesn't envy, it doesn't boast, it isn't proud. It doesn't dishonor others, it isn't self-seeking, it isn't easily angered, it doesn't keep record of wrongs. Love never fails" (1 Corinthians 13:4-8 WEB).
Continue to pray for your wife and your marriage, and trust that God is at work, even in this difficult time. "Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need." (Hebrews 4:16 WEB).
Lastly, we leave you with these words from Jesus: "Have you not read that he who made them at the beginning 'made them male and female,' and said, 'For this cause a man shall leave father and mother, and shall join to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh?' Therefore they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate." (Matthew 19:4-6 WEB). Trust that God is faithful, and he will honor his word.
Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name please bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have.
