Please pray for our friends health and healing

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Our friend has had such poor health for a couple years now, with a slowly failing kidney and other ailments that have landed him in the hospital on and off. His wife has had to take on a full time job to cover lost money with his poor health and is just feeling so heavy with him in the hospital with phenomenia, and his health declining. Please pray for a miracle with his health. Please pray that any imbalance or sickness be cast out in Jesus name, and if it be God’s will that he he healed off all his physical ailments and begins to experience true health and healing. Please pray for his wife for increased strength and wisdom. Please pray for their finances to heal and increase to support this hard season. In Jesus name amen

We join you in lifting up your dear friends before our Father in heaven and we are deeply moved by the heavy burden they have carried for so long. To watch a beloved husband and friend suffer with a failing kidney and other ailments, in and out of the hospital, and now battling pneumonia, is heartbreaking, and we weep with his wife as she carries the weight of full time work, worry, and weariness. We stand with you in asking for a miracle of healing according to God's perfect will.

We know that our God is the Great Physician who hears the cries of His people. Psalm 103:2-3 reminds us to praise Yahweh, who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases. And in Jeremiah 30:17 He promises, But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. We also cling to Exodus 15:26 where He declares, I am Yahweh who heals you. We pray in faith believing that no imbalance or sickness is beyond His power to cast out, for nothing is impossible with God.

We pray together now.

Heavenly Father, we come before Your throne of grace in the mighty name of Jesus, and we thank You that we can boldly approach You through Him. Lord, we lift up this dear brother to You. You know his body, his kidney, his lungs afflicted with pneumonia, and every other ailment that has weakened him. We ask in Jesus name that You would lay Your healing hand upon him, rebuke every sickness and infection, restore what is failing, and breathe strength into his lungs and his whole body. If it be Your will, Father, we ask for complete healing and for him to experience true health again, that he may testify of Your goodness and mercy. We also lift up his precious wife, his helpmate in this covenant of marriage. Lord, she is weary and heavy laden. We ask that You would renew her strength daily, for Isaiah 40:29 tells us You give power to the faint and increase the strength of him who has no might. Grant her wisdom beyond her own understanding as James 1:5 promises that if any of us lacks wisdom, we may ask of You who gives generously and without reproach. Comfort her heart, guard her with Your peace, and let her feel Your arms sustaining her. Father, we also bring their finances before You. You see the lost income and the pressure of this hard season. We ask that You would provide for all their needs according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus as You promise in Philippians 4:19, and open doors for provision and relief. Let them feel Your presence as their refuge and not be afraid, for You have said in Isaiah 41:10, Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. We trust this family into Your loving and sovereign hands, asking for Your will to be done and for Your name to be glorified through their story. In the name of Jesus our Healer and our Hope we pray, amen.

We encourage you to continue to stand in the gap for them, and to remind them that the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up as James 5:15 teaches. Keep surrounding this wife with practical love and encouragement, helping her to cast all her anxiety on Him because He cares for her as 1 Peter 5:7 says. Even in this long trial, God is working for good and His grace is sufficient, and we trust He will carry them through this valley and provide for every need.

Thank you for bringing your friends to us in prayer. Hearing how long your friend has been ill, in and out of the hospital with his kidneys and now pneumonia, and how heavy this has become for his wife, we feel the weight you are carrying for them too.

A long illness like this touches every part of life. It is exhausting to live with constant uncertainty, and it often changes how a whole family has to live and work. We hear how his wife has stepped into a full time job while staying by his side in the hospital, and how the financial strain adds to the worry. It makes sense she feels heavy right now.

One gentle way to come alongside them in the weeks ahead is to keep support steady after the hospital crisis eases. Many people show up at first and then life moves on. You might ask his wife what one practical help would lift a little weight this week, like a meal or help with an errand, and see if a few friends or a church group can share that on a simple rotation. Letting her know she does not have to carry this alone and helping her stay connected to community can be a real encouragement while she keeps caring for him. We will keep praying alongside the care his medical team is providing.

Father, we lift this husband and wife to You in Jesus name. You see his body, his kidneys and lungs, and You see her weariness. We ask for Your mercy and healing according to Your will, for strength and wisdom for her each day, and for provision for their finances in this hard season. Hold them close and give them peace as they trust You. Amen.

We have heard your cry and we join you in bringing this dear brother and his wife before the throne of grace, bearing their heavy burden with you in prayer.

Human strength, even at its best, will spend itself and fail in due time, and how much more when sickness has laid the body low with a failing kidney and now pneumonia in the hospital. Yet we are reminded that they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. All strength apart from God is derived and measurable and must come to an end, but the strength of God is inexhaustible and He delights to give it to those who have no might. When all our own strength fails us, our strength shall be to sit still while God Himself arises and becomes our arm every morning, our salvation in the time of trouble.

There is abundant healing power in Jesus Christ, whose very leaves are for the healing of the nations. The least thing about Christ is healing, and His fruit and His leaves together change the life blood and make the nature other than it was before. Healing and forgiveness are placed in happy conjunction in the gospel, and many a weary child of God has renewed his strength at the remembrance of pardoning mercy. To be strengthened with strength in the Lord is of all things the most desirable, and the Lord Himself declares, I will strengthen them, so that it shall be fitly infused and wisely balanced, whether it be given at once or gradually received.

Let us pray together.

O Lord our God, the Author and Giver of all strength, we come in the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone is salvation and access to Your mercy. Look with compassion upon our brother in his hospital bed, afflicted in body with kidney disease and pneumonia and other ailments that have worn him for years. If it be Your will, lay Your healing hand upon him and cast out sickness and imbalance, and restore him to health and vigor. We ask not as those who demand, but as those who wait upon You, trusting Your wisdom and Your perfect will. Grant to his wife, who bears a heavy load and has taken on full labour to provide, an increase of strength, wisdom and grace for each day, that she may be sustained and not faint. Provide for their finances, O Lord, who owns all things, and open the windows of Your provision to support them in this hard season. Let them know that You are the glory of their strength and that Your grace is sufficient. Comfort their hearts with the assurance of sins forgiven and with the healing that flows from Calvary, and keep them walking up and down in Your name. In Jesus name we ask, Amen.
