Please pray for my ### to find true, caring friends

Your love for your daughter comes through so clearly in this request, and the ache you feel when she asks why friendship is hard for her is understandable. That question can weigh heavily on a parent's heart, and it is also a very natural longing for a young girl to have.

Scripture shows us that longing. There was a young girl who grew up with many older brothers. Those brothers had each other for companionship and did well together, but she still needed friends her own age, peers who understood her world. So she went out to seek the daughters of the land, to find that kind of friendship. Her story reminds us that the desire for close, caring friends among other girls is not unusual or wrong. It is a real human need, and the loneliness that comes when that need is not met is deeply felt.

God understands that loneliness. In another place Scripture tells us that when His people felt isolated and burdened, God said that He had surely seen their affliction and heard their cry. He notices. He has compassion. Your daughter is seen and valued by Him. Even when culture has at times overlooked daughters, God does not. He knows her by name, He cares about her friendships, and He hears your prayers for her.

Please do not carry the burden of believing this is entirely your fault for not doing enough earlier. Parenting always leaves us wishing we had done more, but God is gracious and He is the one who ultimately provides community and growth. Your role now is to walk with her faithfully, and He can use that.

I have prayed for your daughter, that the Lord will bring into her life true, caring, and lasting friends, young women of character who will encourage her and walk with her in faith and kindness. I have prayed that He will guard her heart from discouragement and help her know her worth in Christ even while she waits. And I have prayed for you and your wife, that God will give you wisdom, gentleness, and unity as you guide her, that you will know how to listen well, speak hope to her, and help open doors to healthy friendships without pressure, trusting the Lord to do what only He can do.

May the Lord comfort your family, strengthen your daughter's heart, and lead her to the companionship you are asking Him to provide.
