Thank you for sharing your request for grace and protection. We are praying for you, and we thank God that He hears and cares for you.
Scripture teaches that we have access by faith into the grace of God, and that it is in that grace that we stand. Our standing before God is not in our own goodness or righteousness, but in His grace given to us through Jesus Christ. Because of that grace we can rejoice in the hope of the glory of God, a living hope that looks forward to eternal life with Him.
The Bible describes grace as unmerited favor, a beautiful gift we could never earn or deserve. Justice would give us what we deserve, mercy withholds what we deserve, but grace gives us what we do not deserve, forgiveness, acceptance, and the promise of heaven, all freely because of Jesus. We are justified freely by His grace, made heirs of eternal life, not because we have earned it but because He has poured out His love upon us.
Where sin abounded, grace overflowed and did much more abound. Grace is greater than all our sin. That does not mean we continue in sin, but it means that the power of sin and death which once reigned over us has been overcome. Now grace reigns through righteousness to bring eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. You who have trusted in Christ have died with Him to the old life, and you now live in a new principle of life in Him.
In the Old Testament the word for atonement meant a covering, a covering over guilt that could not take away sin or make a person one with God. In Christ we have something far better. Through His sacrifice we are not merely covered, we are made at one with God. That is the true protection of your being, to be brought near and kept in Him, cleansed within and made righteous in His sight by faith.
So we pray that the Lord will keep you in that grace wherein you stand, that you will rest not in your own strength or worthiness but in Jesus and His finished work. We ask Him to surround you with His presence as a covering and to guard you from spiritual harm, from discouragement and from the enemy's accusations. May He strengthen your faith to simply receive what He freely gives, to walk in the confidence that you are His child, and to rejoice daily in the hope He has set before you.
May the Lord bless you with a deep assurance of His pardon and cleansing, and cause His grace to reign in your life, giving you peace, strength, and protection as you abide in Christ.
