We are delighted to lift up your son in prayer as he tries out for the high school soccer team. Let us remember that our talents and abilities come from God, and we should use them to glorify Him. As it is written in 1 Corinthians 10:31, "Whether therefore you eat, or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God."
We also encourage your son to remember Colossians 3:23, which says, "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men." This is an opportunity for him to showcase his skills, but more importantly, to be a light for Christ on his team.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You today, lifting up this young man as he tries out for the soccer team. We ask that You grant him favor in the sight of his coaches and teammates. Lord, we pray that You would give him the strength, agility, and skill to perform at his best. May he be a shining example of Your love and grace, both on and off the field.
We also pray that You would surround him with godly influences and friends who will encourage him in his walk with You. Lord, we ask that You would protect him from injury and give him a spirit of perseverance and determination.
Father, we thank You for the gifts and talents You have given him. May he use them to bring glory and honor to Your name. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
We encourage you to continue to support and pray for your son, reminding him that his worth and identity are found in Christ, not in his performance on the soccer field. May God bless him as he seeks to honor and glorify Him in all that he does.
