Please pray for my ###'s health

Your request has been heard and we join you in lifting your wife and your family before the Lord with thanksgiving for your faith in Christ our Savior.

We pray for your wife's health in the name of Jesus, giving all glory to God who hears our prayers. We ask the Lord for mercy and healing, that the squamous cell carcinoma on her face may be removed safely and completely, and we pray for wisdom and skill for the doctors and for healing with minimal scarring. We also bring before Him the results of her CT scan, asking that her lungs would be clear of cancer and that any cause of her persistent cough would be treatable and healed.

We also pray that the Lord would give her strength and grace to turn away from smoking. Our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit and the Lord desires wholeness for His children. We pray that He would free her from this habit, give her resolve and comfort in the struggle, and surround her with support and encouragement as she seeks to quit.

We thank God for your trust in Him and for your love for your wife in this holy covenant of marriage. May He grant you both peace that passes understanding as you wait, courage in the days ahead, and a deeper confidence in His goodness and power to heal. We continue to pray with you, asking for His healing hand upon her, for clear test results, and for complete restoration to health for His glory.

Father, we ask these things in the name of Jesus Christ, our only Savior and hope. Amen.

Thank you for sharing this burden and for the faith you have expressed in Jesus Christ as Savior. It is right to bring your wife before the Lord in His name, and we join you in prayer, giving all glory to God who hears us when we call on Him.

We pray for your wife's healing. Scripture reveals God as the Healer, the One who becomes what we need, and the Gospels show how much of Jesus' ministry was given to touching and healing those who were sick and afflicted. Matthew points us to Isaiah's prophecy that He bore our infirmities and carried our sicknesses. We ask the Lord for mercy in this situation, that the carcinoma on her face could be removed completely and safely, and we pray for the best possible outcome with as little scarring as possible. We also bring the CT scan of her lungs before the Lord. We ask that the results would show no cancer, and that her persistent cough would be healed.

We also pray for strength for her to be free from smoking. It is important to remember that freedom does not come by first trying to make yourself worthy and then coming to God. Some people have believed they could not be saved while still bound by a habit like smoking, and that belief itself becomes a barrier. They try to put the cart before the horse, trying to quit in their own strength in order to be accepted, when God invites us to come to Him just as we are through Jesus Christ. He receives us by grace through faith, and then by His Spirit He gives power to overcome what binds us. So we do not pray that she must earn God's help by quitting first. We pray that she will know His love and acceptance in Christ right now, and that from that place He will give her the desire and the power to be released from this addiction for the sake of her health and her life with you.

We pray with confidence, and also with trust in God's wisdom. The Bible is honest that God does not heal every sickness in this life in the way we ask, and when He does not, it is not necessarily a sign of lack of faith or hidden sin. Even the apostle Paul prayed for his close companion Timothy, who had frequent illnesses, and gave him practical counsel, and God had His own purposes that we do not always understand. We ask boldly for healing because Jesus is compassionate and able, and we also rest in the knowledge that God is good and His purposes are loving, whether He answers with immediate healing or with sustaining grace through a longer trial.

Marriage is a precious gift from God, and your love and intercession for your wife is a beautiful reflection of that covenant. Continue to walk beside her with gentleness, prayer, and encouragement. Let her see Christ in your care for her, and let your home be filled with prayer and the Word.

Together we pray: Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we lift this dear wife and her husband to You. You are the Lord who heals us. Lay Your hand upon her. Guide the doctors with wisdom for the procedure on her face, grant complete removal of the cancer, and bring healing to the tissue. Let the scan of her lungs show no cancer and bring healing to her lungs and relief from coughing. Give her Your strength to turn away from smoking and to walk in freedom, not by her own willpower alone but by Your Spirit at work in her. Give both of them peace that passes understanding, guard their hearts from fear, and draw them ever closer to Jesus. We ask this in the name of Jesus, our Savior, and give You all the glory. Amen.

Everyone please pray for the bass player that is in my band. 3 months ago, he suffered a massive heart attack, and shortly afterwards, underwent triple bypass surgery. He is now recovering at home, but it's going to be a while before he can play again. Please pray that God will heal him totally...
