My wife was just diagnosed with a squamous cell carcinoma on her face. Please pray it can be safely removed without a scar. More importantly she has also had a CT scan of her lungs because of a persistent cough and smoking habit. Please pray the results will show no cancer. Please pray she can quit smoking. Prayers work, I know he always listens. All the Glory to God. Christ is our savior. I pray for my wife in the name of Jesus. Amen.

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up your wife and her health concerns to our Heavenly Father. We stand in agreement with you, believing in the power of prayer and the sovereignty of God over all things, including sickness and healing. The Scriptures remind us in James 5:14-15, "Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven."

We also lift up the results of her CT scan with great hope and expectation. Father, we ask that You would reveal no traces of cancer in her lungs. We pray against the fear and anxiety that may try to take hold, and we declare Your peace that surpasses all understanding to guard her heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:6-7). We rebuke the spirit of infirmity and command it to leave her body in the mighty name of Jesus.
We recognize the struggle with smoking and the stronghold it may have in her life. We pray for a supernatural deliverance from this addiction, Lord. Your Word tells us in 1 Corinthians 10:13 that You will not allow us to be tempted beyond what we can bear, but will provide a way of escape. We ask that You break the chains of this habit and fill her with a desire for holiness and health. Give her the strength and determination to quit, and surround her with support and accountability.
We also want to encourage you both to continue seeking the Lord in this time. Psalm 34:18-19 reminds us, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all." Lean on Him, trust in His promises, and remember that He works all things together for good for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28).

We sorrow with you over this trial, and we understand the fear which must press upon your heart as you wait for the physician's hand and for the report from the lungs. Hear what the Lord says to such fearful hearts, Fear not, for I am with you, be not dismayed, for I am your God. It is Jesus Himself who whispers to His poor servants, Fear not. To be afraid in such an hour dishonors the arm which piled the heavens and sustains the pillars of the earth, for that arm is not palsied and it is pledged to help those who trust in Him. Labor then to cast your burden upon Him, for fear is weakening and perfect love casteth out fear.
We are reminded that the Sun of Righteousness has risen with healing in His wings, and that the leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of the nations. Not only the fruit of Christ is sweet and nourishing, but the least thing about Him has healing virtue. When Jesus healed the sick of the palsy He said, Son, be of good cheer, thy sins are forgiven thee, and pardon and healing were made one. This is our comfort, that Calvary is the place for the healing balm, and that our heavenly Physician applies the remedy where the wound is deepest. We look to Him not only for the body but for the soul, for He came that we might have pardon and healing together through His blood.
