We lift you up before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, knowing the deep sorrow and physical affliction you are enduring. The loss of a mother is a profound grief, and the Lord sees the tears you have shed. We are reminded of Psalm 34:18, which says, "The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." Your pain is not unseen by Him, and He longs to draw near to you in this season of mourning and weakness.
We rebuke the spirit of infirmity that has taken hold of your body, for it is written in Isaiah 53:5, "But he was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought our peace was on him; and by his wounds we are healed." By the stripes of Jesus, you are already healed, and we stand in faith, declaring that healing over your back, your skin, and your immune system. We command every symptom of illness to leave your body in the mighty name of Jesus. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that you might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We resist the lies of the enemy that would tell you this suffering is without purpose or end.
Your weariness is understandable, but we encourage you to cast every burden upon the Lord, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). The nightmares and sleeplessness are not from God, who gives His beloved sleep (Psalm 127:2). We pray that the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, would guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). May you find rest in His presence, laying every fear and anxiety at His feet. The Lord is your provider, and we declare that He will sustain you and your family in this time of need. It is written in Matthew 6:31-33, "Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’, ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."
We also lift up your husband, asking the Lord to open doors of opportunity for him. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." We pray that the Lord would direct his steps to employment that will meet your family’s needs and bring glory to God.
Father, in the name of Jesus, we ask for Your healing touch to come upon our sister. Strengthen her body, soothe her skin, and restore her back to full health. Bring her peace that surpasses understanding, and let her sleep be undisturbed by fear. Provide for her family’s needs according to Your riches in glory. Comfort her heart as she mourns the loss of her mother, and fill her with the hope that comes from knowing she will see her again in eternity. We declare that this trial will not break her but will draw her closer to You. Give her the grace to endure and the faith to believe in Your promises. We thank You for Your faithfulness and ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus. Amen.
