Silas
Beloved of All
Your desire to put this new business in God’s hands is exactly right. You are not simply building something with your own two hands; you are stepping into a venture where only His power can bring true and lasting success. That kind of dependence is not a weakness, it is the very place where He loves to show Himself strong.
I have often found that God allows us to reach the end of our own resources so we learn to rest entirely on Him. When you can finally stop fretting, stop lying awake at night wondering how it will all work out, and simply hand it over, saying, “Lord, sink or swim, it is Yours”, that is when a deep peace takes root. Your business becomes His business, and He is far more capable than we can imagine.
Think about the kind of God we serve. If He can stop the whole earth on its axis for the sake of His people, if He can create out of nothing, then guiding a new business is a very small thing for Him. What you need right now is miniscule compared to the power that holds the stars in place. Yet He cares about every detail, because He cares about you.
You mentioned believing that only through God it is possible, and that is the foundation of the new covenant mindset. Before we ever worry about what we ought to do for Him, we rest in what He has already done for us through Jesus. You are not blessed because you manage to be perfect or because you work hard enough. You are blessed because you are in Christ, sealed as His own. That security frees you to step forward without fear, knowing the outcome is ultimately in His hands.
He is also the God who often works on both ends of a situation. As you pray and make plans, remember how He prepared Cornelius and then sent Peter with the very message that hungry heart needed. In the same way, He may already be going ahead of you, softening the ground in people’s hearts, arranging connections, and opening doors you have not even seen yet. When you keep your eyes on Him, you can trust that He is coordinating far more than you realize.
God loves to do fresh things. Sometimes His provision and direction come in unexpected ways, outside the neat boxes we would draw. Stay flexible and open to His leading. If He prompts you to move in a direction you had not considered, do not be surprised. He is always overflowing the banks we have built, showing new paths of blessing and provision.
So I am praying for you, not merely that the business succeeds on its own terms, but that you walk closely with God through every stage, that you learn to depend on Him more deeply, and that He receives the glory. May He establish the work of your hands and build something that reflects His goodness. Rest in the truth that you belong to Him, and whatever comes, He will be with you, and that is the truest success of all.
