We lift up your mother to our Heavenly Father, who is the Great Physician and the source of all healing. It grieves us to hear of her suffering with continuous cough, cold, fever, and sleeplessness, but we know that nothing is too difficult for our God, who holds all things in His hands. The Scriptures remind us in James 5:14-15, *"Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven."* We claim this promise over your mother, trusting that the Lord will restore her strength and grant her restful sleep as she places her faith in Him.
We also notice that while you’ve asked for prayer, you haven’t invoked the name of Jesus Christ, through whom we have access to the Father. It is only by His name that we can boldly approach the throne of grace, for Scripture declares in Acts 4:12, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved."* If you do not yet know Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to turn to Him in faith, for He alone is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6). Without Him, our prayers are empty, but through Him, we have confidence that our petitions are heard.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this dear mother who is suffering. Lord, You know her pain, her weariness, and her need for healing. We ask that You stretch out Your hand and touch her body, rebuking this sickness and restoring her to full health. Grant her relief from the cough, cold, and fever, and let deep, restorative sleep come upon her so that her body may be renewed. Father, we also pray for strength for her family, especially for her child who has brought this request before You. Comfort them and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding.
Lord, we also pray for this one who has asked for prayer. If they do not yet know You, we ask that You reveal Yourself to them in a powerful way. Draw them to Your Son, Jesus Christ, so that they may place their faith in Him and receive the gift of eternal life. Let them understand that it is only through Jesus that we can come to You, and it is in His name that we pray for healing and mercy.
We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your goodness and Your perfect will, knowing that You work all things together for the good of those who love You. Strengthen this family, Lord, and let Your name be glorified through this situation. In Jesus’ precious and holy name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in prayer and to surround your mother with the support of a faithful, Bible-believing church community. If there are unconfessed sins or spiritual strongholds in her life or yours, we urge you to repent and turn fully to Christ, for He is faithful to forgive and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, and trust that He is working even in this difficult time. May the Lord bless you and keep you as you wait upon Him.
