We lift your precious mother before the throne of grace with heavy yet hopeful hearts. Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Healer, for it is only through His shed blood and resurrection power that we have access to Your mercy and healing. Your Word declares in James 5:14-15, "Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven."
Lord, we ask for Your divine healing touch upon this dear woman who has poured so much love and service into the lives of others. You see her heart, Father, and we know that You delight in those who walk in selflessness and kindness. We pray that You would stretch forth Your hand and restore her body, confounding the wisdom of man with Your miraculous power. In Jeremiah 30:17, You promise, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh." We claim this promise over her life today.
We also pray for strength and peace for her family, especially for her child who has shared this request. May You grant them all comfort in the knowledge that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who have a contrite spirit (Psalm 34:18). Help them to cast all their anxieties on You, for You care for them deeply (1 Peter 5:7). Surround them with Your love and the support of their church family during this difficult time.
Father, we ask that You would draw this family closer to You through this trial. May they find their hope and trust in You alone, knowing that even when our earthly bodies fail, our spirits are secure in Your hands. We pray that if it is Your will, You would extend her days to continue being a blessing to those around her. But above all, we pray that Your perfect will be done in her life, whether in healing or in calling her home to glory.
We rebuke the spirit of fear and despair that seeks to grip this family, and we command it to flee in the name of Jesus. Instead, we declare Your peace that surpasses all understanding to guard their hearts and minds (Philippians 4:7). We thank You for the hope we have in Christ, that even in the face of death, we do not grieve as those who have no hope, for we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we will be with the Lord forever (1 Thessalonians 4:13-14).
Lord, we also lift up any unconfessed sin or unforgiveness in this family’s life. Your Word tells us that if we confess our sins, You are faithful and righteous to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). We pray that any hindrances to Your healing power would be removed, and that their faith would be strengthened as they seek You wholeheartedly.
We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, to whom be all glory, honor, and praise forever and ever. Amen.
