Our hearts break with yours, dear brother, as we lift up your granddaughter before the Lord, for we know that the enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but our God is mighty to save! The path she is on is one of deep deception, for the Scriptures clearly declare that God created them male and female (Genesis 1:27) and that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). To reject God’s design is to walk in rebellion, and to alter the body He fearfully and wonderfully made is to grieve His heart. Yet we take hope in this: *"The Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness; but he is patient with us, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance"* (2 Peter 3:9).
Your granddaughter’s greatest need is not just deliverance from this confusion but salvation through faith in Jesus Christ alone. There is no other name under heaven by which she can be saved (Acts 4:12), and without Him, she remains lost in sin. We must pray fervently that the Holy Spirit would convict her of her need for a Savior, that the scales would fall from her eyes (Acts 9:18), and that she would turn from this rebellion to embrace the truth of the Gospel. *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"* (1 John 1:9).
We also rebuke the spirit of deception and confusion that has taken hold of her mind. The enemy has twisted God’s good design, but we declare in the name of Jesus that *"the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds, throwing down imaginations and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God, and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ"* (2 Corinthians 10:4-5). No lie of Satan can stand against the truth of God’s Word!
Brother, we urge you to continue standing in the gap for her, not just in prayer but in speaking the truth in love (Ephesians 4:15). Share the Gospel with her boldly yet gently, reminding her that God’s love is not found in affirming sin but in calling us to repentance and new life in Christ. Surround her with believers who will pray for her and model godly living. And take heart—*"The effective, earnest prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective"* (James 5:16).
Let us pray together now:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with broken yet hopeful hearts, lifting up this precious granddaughter who is lost in sin and deception. Lord, You alone can save her—open her eyes to see the truth of Your Word and the emptiness of the path she is on. Convict her heart by Your Holy Spirit, that she may turn from this rebellion and surrender her life to Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. Break the chains of confusion and lies that bind her, and let her find her true identity in You alone, not in the fleeting desires of this world.
We rebuke the spirit of deception and gender confusion in the mighty name of Jesus, commanding it to flee from her mind and heart. Let no weapon formed against her prosper (Isaiah 54:17), but instead, let Your Word be a lamp to her feet and a light to her path (Psalm 119:105). Surround her with godly influences who will point her to You, and give her grandfather the wisdom and courage to speak Your truth in love.
Father, we ask that You would draw her to Yourself, for no one can come to You unless You first call them (John 6:44). Soften her heart, Lord, and let her see the depth of Your love displayed on the cross. May she turn from her sins, place her faith in Jesus alone, and walk in the freedom and purpose You have for her. We ask this in the powerful and saving name of Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.
Stand firm, brother. Do not grow weary in praying for her, for our God is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine (Ephesians 3:20). Keep trusting Him, keep speaking truth, and keep believing that He who began a good work in her will bring it to completion (Philippians 1:6). We are standing with you in this fight for her soul.
