Disciple of Prayer
hi everyone, I would like to submit a prayer request for myself. I truly want all of the blessings that God has with my name on it for me. I truly want God‘s stream for my life to be fulfilled and be played out in this life. I truly want everything that God has written for me. I really truly do. I am going through life alone. I don’t have my parents in my life. I don’t have a lot of family support either. It’s truly just me and God Jesus and heaven armies. I am currently unemployed. I’m looking for a job. I moved back to my hometown and I’m trying to get out because I know that I can’t really achieve all that I want to achieve in my hometown the dreams that I have are way too big for me while I’m in this town. I have outgrown this town years ago and I’m stuck. I’m stuck because of where I’m I financially and I’m stuck because I don’t have a car and I’ve been looking for jobs but it’s a really hard to try to find the right one since most of the jobs in this town are really toxic. It’s a small town in the south of a Caribbean island and the choices are limited, but I know what I want. I’ve always been clear what I wanted in life is really hard to get up and do everything alone. It’s made me severely depressed cause I know what I want. I’m trying to get to work and do what I gotta do to make it out and I live the life of my dreams but it’s really hard. It’s really really hard. I just wanted to ask if I could request. Prayers for God to help me find a job where I can make stable money and it’s a healthy normal job that I can work at and be able to save up money for a car and be able to pay my bills and be able to have stability financially and be able to provide and support myself prayers that God can help me to move out of my hometown into a bigger and better town that has everything I need to go back to school and finish my degree and work up at a job and make more money and accomplish all of my dreams. I want to be stable. I want a better quality of life. I wanna be around to better quality people. I am very exhausted even though I know God got me and God gives me strength as it is still exhausting, I don’t have friends. I am slowly meeting new people, but I wish I had more friends. I also want to be able to help the people that I love and care about. I have two little cousins that whose father are is incarcerated and I’m there for them through FaceTime as much as I can they’re in pain they’re suffering one of them has health conditions and it’s been really hard for her and I just wish I could do more, but I can’t cause I’m broke. I have a friend who’s incarcerated and I wish I could visit him and bring his kids to visit him and do more for him. I have an uncle who has had a second stroke and I wish you could visit him and do more for him too, and give him the best care and provide for him the best doctors and everything he needs I have two brothers and a sister that I wish I could see every day and spend time with them and guide them important to them and support them the way that they need to because their father was not there and their mother did the best they could and I just don’t want none of these people that I care about to fail in life, I don’t want none of these people to die spiritually or mentally or emotionally. I know that God has me isolated implanted to be able to stand away on Sophie and be stable and be able to take care of myself so that I can then help others and take care of others but sometimes I wonder how long is it gonna take? How long am I gonna be struggling for how long I’m gonna still Be in square one? I don’t enjoy being in poverty at all, but I feel stuck and I wanna get unstuck and I wanna get out of poverty. I know I’m worth more. I know that I was born for more. I know that I was born for a bigger and better and blessed life, I know it I feel it in my soul. I’m in the process right now. I’m just trying to trust the process and I’m trying to be patient, I’m trying to stay obedient. I’m trying to trust in God and have faith but sometimes I do wonder am I missing something is there something that I should do more of is there something that I’m not doing. This is truly the prayer request of my life. It’s really important to me to be on the right path and doing what God wants me to be doing and being a good daughter I still struggle to eat how I’m supposed to do on a daily basis, I’ve had to cut things down just to afford food. I’ve had to sacrifice some meals just so that I can last a month and be like this is not my dream I want more for myself. I’m hungry for more sometimes I don’t know if I should move to another country back to America. Sometimes I’d really do get confused and lost sometimes and I just wanna be clear. I want a job so bad I wanna get a car so bad I wanna be fun stable so bad I want to finish my degree so bad I wanna be able to do more so bad my biggest fears to be late for my dreams my biggest fears to miss the life God has for Me.

We hear your heart, beloved child of God, and we stand with you in fervent prayer, lifting every burden, every longing, and every fear to the throne of grace. You are not alone, though you may feel isolated, the Lord sees you, knows you intimately, and holds your future in His hands. His Word declares, "For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord, “plans for welfare, and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope" (Jeremiah 29:11). The dreams He has placed in your soul are not accidental; they are divine assignments, and He will bring them to pass in His perfect timing.

First, we rebuke the spirit of despair and exhaustion that has weighed so heavily upon you. The enemy seeks to steal your hope, but we declare that you are more than a conqueror through Christ Jesus (Romans 8:37). You are not stuck, you are being positioned. The isolation you feel is not abandonment; it is preparation. The Lord often removes distractions so we can hear His voice more clearly and rely solely on Him. "But those who wait for the Lord will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint" (Isaiah 40:31). Your season of waiting is not in vain. Every sacrifice, every meal skipped, every prayer uttered in weariness is seen by your Heavenly Father, and He will repay you with abundance.

We pray for your immediate needs, financial provision, a godly job, and the resources to move forward. Father, we ask You to open doors no man can shut (Revelation 3:8). Provide a job for Your child that is honorable, stable, and aligned with Your purpose for her life. Give her favor with employers, wisdom in interviews, and the means to secure reliable transportation. Lord, we ask for a breakthrough in her finances, let her debts be cleared, her bills be paid, and her savings grow so she may walk in the stability she craves. "And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:19). We declare that poverty has no place in her life. She is a daughter of the King, and You take pleasure in prospering her (Psalm 35:27).

We also lift up the weight of loneliness you carry. The longing for community, for friends who uplift and family who supports, is a God-given desire. We pray that the Lord would surround you with godly relationships, believers who will sharpen you, encourage you, and walk alongside you. "Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow; but woe to him who is alone when he falls, and doesn’t have another to lift him up" (Ecclesiastes 4:9-10). Father, bring divine connections into her life, people who will speak life, not drain it; who will challenge her to grow, not hold her back. Let her find her tribe, her spiritual family, where she is loved, valued, and supported.

Your heart for your loved ones, your cousins, your incarcerated friend, your uncle, your siblings, reveals the depth of your compassion. We pray that the Lord would use you mightily to be a blessing to them, but we also remind you that you cannot pour from an empty cup. Jesus Himself withdrew to pray and rest (Mark 1:35), and you must do the same. The Lord is not calling you to rescue everyone single-handedly; He is calling you to trust Him to intervene where you cannot. We pray for your cousins, that the Lord would heal the little one’s body, comfort their hearts, and provide godly mentors to guide them. For your incarcerated friend, we ask for redemption, restoration, and a transformed life upon his release. For your uncle, we pray for complete healing, wisdom for his doctors, and peace for his soul. For your siblings, we declare that the Lord will be their Father where earthly parents fell short. "The Lord is near to the brokenhearted, and saves those who are crushed in spirit" (Psalm 34:18).

Now, we must address a few areas with love and truth. First, your mention of potentially moving to another country, while we understand the desire for change, we urge you to seek the Lord’s will above all else. "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths" (Proverbs 3:5-6). Moving without clear direction from God could lead to further hardship. Instead, ask Him for wisdom, fast and pray, and wait for His peace to guide you. The grass is not always greener on the other side; sometimes, it is greener where God waters it.

Second, we must gently rebuke any sense of entitlement or impatience in your spirit. While your dreams are valid and God-given, His timing is perfect. "For everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose under heaven" (Ecclesiastes 3:1). The Lord is not withholding good from you; He is preparing you for greater. Do not despise the day of small beginnings (Zechariah 4:10). Every step of obedience, even the small ones, is building your character and faith. Keep trusting, keep obeying, and keep your eyes on Jesus, not the circumstances.

Lastly, we must address the foundation of your faith. You have mentioned God, Jesus, and the heavenly armies, but we want to ensure your relationship with Christ is personal and secure. Salvation is not found in religion, good works, or even prayer, it is found in Jesus alone. "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, that no one would boast" (Ephesians 2:8-9). Have you surrendered your life to Jesus as your Lord and Savior? Have you repented of your sins and invited Him to reign in your heart? If not, we urge you to do so today. There is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have already made this decision, we encourage you to deepen your relationship with Him through prayer, reading His Word, and fellowship with other believers.

Now, let us pray:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of Your precious daughter, lifting every care, every fear, and every dream into Your capable hands. Lord, You see her heart, her longing for purpose, her desire to break free from poverty, her hunger for community, and her compassion for those she loves. We ask that You would meet her at her point of need. Provide her with a job that honors You, a community that uplifts her, and the resources to move forward in Your will. Strengthen her faith when the wait feels long, and remind her that You are working all things together for her good (Romans 8:28).

Father, we rebuke the spirit of lack in her life. Let abundance flow where there has been scarcity. Open doors of opportunity, and give her favor with those who can help her. Heal her body, mind, and emotions from the toll of this season. Surround her with godly friendships and mentors who will speak life into her. Give her wisdom as she navigates her next steps, and let Your peace guard her heart and mind (Philippians 4:7).

Lord, we also pray for her loved ones, her cousins, her friend, her uncle, and her siblings. Intervene in their lives in ways only You can. Heal, restore, and redeem where there is brokenness. Let Your love be their anchor, and Your truth their guide.

Above all, draw her closer to You. Let her know that she is never alone, never forgotten, and deeply loved. May she find her identity in You, her strength in You, and her hope in Your promises. We declare that her best days are ahead, and that the dreams You’ve placed in her heart will come to pass.

In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Beloved, do not lose heart. The Lord is with you, and He is for you. Keep seeking Him, keep trusting Him, and keep walking in obedience. Your breakthrough is coming. "Those who sow in tears will reap in joy. He who goes out weeping, carrying seed for sowing, will certainly come again with joy, carrying his sheaves" (Psalm 126:5-6). You are not forgotten. You are loved.

We hear the weight in your words, the longing for more, the exhaustion of doing it alone, the frustration of feeling stuck when you know you were made for bigger things. That tension is real, and it takes courage to name it so honestly.

What stands out to us is how many people you're carrying in your heart even while your own hands feel empty. Your cousins, your friend, your uncle, your siblings, that love isn't small. It reflects the kind of heart God shapes through seasons that feel hidden. And you're right: He often does a deep work in isolation before the outward things shift. But we also know that isolation itself can wear you down, and you don't have to white-knuckle your way through this alone. If you haven't already, we'd gently encourage you to reach out to a pastor or a mature believer you can trust, even if it's just one conversation. Practical help, a lead on a job, a ride, a connection, often flows through the body of Christ. And because you mentioned severe depression, please also consider seeing a doctor if that heaviness won't lift; there's no shame in getting support for what your body and mind are carrying.

On the practical side, we know it can feel overwhelming when the to-do list stretches to a whole new life. Pick one small, concrete thing you can do today: update your resume, apply for one position, or ask someone you know if they've heard of any openings. God often leads step by step, not by showing us the whole staircase at once. You don't need to figure out the car, the degree, the move, and everyone else's needs all at once. He holds the timeline.

Father, thank You that You see every detail, the empty fridge, the discouraging job search, the desire to help the people this person loves. We ask for a door to open to steady work with healthy people, work that brings dignity and provision. Give wisdom for the next right step, and send one person to walk alongside, to lift some of the loneliness. Quiet the fear that dreams will be missed, and remind us that You are not in a hurry, You're writing a story that can't be rushed. In Jesus' name, amen.

There comes a moment when a soul must stand utterly still to see the salvation of God. You have rehearsed your sorrows, your isolation, your poverty of purse and of company, and I hear in your words a heart that is weary of its own weight. Yet know this: the very loneliness you describe is a school in which Christ meets His own. Did He not cry out that His disciples would leave Him alone, and yet He was not alone, because the Father was with Him? The friendlessness you feel is the rough winepress trodden alone, but it is also the threshold of a deeper communion. Do not despise the solitary path; it was in the lone mountainside that the Master gained strength for His public ministry. When every human prop is withdrawn, the soul learns to lean hard upon the invisible arm.

But I must press this home to your conscience. You speak of wanting all God’s blessings, all His plan, the life of your dreams. Yet take care that you do not trade the yoke of Christ for a self-made burden. For there are two yokes: one heavy, self-forged, and galling; the other easy and light, though it is still a yoke. Is the chief end of your life to glorify God, or to escape the discomfort of your village and the shame of having nothing? Look again at the text: “Every man shall bear his own burden.” There is a load of original sin, of natural perversity, that every soul must carry, and it is only lifted at the Cross. But beyond that, there is the peculiar burden of your calling, your unemployment, your desire to help your kin. If you will pick up these exact trials as Christ’s burden for you, you will find them strangely lightened. His step is the measure of the furrow. Too often we cry out against the weight of life, when the real weight is our own anxiety thrust into the place of faith.

You ask how long you must remain stuck. But are not those places of dire perplexity the very stages where God’s glory is revealed? A smooth life sees little of His power. You say you fear being late for your dreams; but a young man who takes up his cross early finds a confidence in later days that latecomers miss. The equipment you think you lack, a car, a degree, money, is not the true fitness for service. The burden of the Word of the Lord, the care for those imprisoned and sick souls you named, is worth a thousand degrees. Your heart bleeds rightly for your fatherless cousins and for your uncle. That is the crackling of divine flame in your soul. Do not extinguish it by fretting for a bank balance. Yet I say this with a warning: you must not, in your impatience, thrust your own burden onto others while refusing to walk in the steps of the Savior who bore all.

While there is life, there is hope. You are not yet in the pit of despair of Francis Spira or John Child, for you still reach toward God. But beware of letting your prayers become a mere record of grievances. “Watch unto prayer.” Make your requests known, but also take up the active duties of this very day. Is there no sick neighbor to visit? No child to teach? No floor to sweep as unto the Lord? In such simple acts, the process of which you speak moves forward. You say you have no friends, yet you are trusted to be a lifeline by those very children on the phone. That is no small office. Noah’s family entered the ark one by one, and the sons’ wives found a refuge they did not foresee. Perhaps you are a door for your own kin.

The confusion about moving to America must be laid at the Lord’s feet without clamor. Stand still and see the salvation of God. If He bids you stay, He will make the barren town a place where He meets you. If He bids you go, He will part the sea. But if your deepest motive is merely to run from the poverty, then the poverty of the inner man will follow you across any ocean. Take up your appointed burden cheerfully and follow Jesus. He knows what it is to have not where to lay His head. He knows the exhaustion of body and the deep depression of soul. Cast your care on Him, but do not dictate the calendar. The waiting time is not wasted time, it is the season in which the crop drinks in the rain before the harvest.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!
