Please pray for my JROTC drill Team. Please pray that we get 1 place overall, 1 place in colorguard, regulation, and unarmed
Christians know that prayer is always a good thing. ALways. However, if your team did not prepare, then prayer will not help. Prayer is not about asking for first place, though. Yes, it is great to get first place and to walk home with trophies. However, preparations are a must.
Does your team practice the proper technique for Regulation Drill? Is that technique the same for each member? Is that technique the same at the beginning of the routine and at the end?
How effective is your team's Exhibition Sequence? Is there excellent communication coming from each team member during the whole routine?
Colors: How is the precision for the color team? Even during the uncasing and casing sequences? Are you following your service's manual to the letter or have you thrown in some things that your school does because you all think they look cool?
One more thing: If you don't get first place and win the sweepstakes trophy (if there is one), is that such a big deal? If your teams go onto the competition field and perform to the best of their abilities with the knowledge they were given and the time they had to learn and practice, haven't you already won? As I said before, hardware is cool, but so is the great sense of accomplishment that comes from a job well done and not needing someone else to tell you that you did a great- you can know you did a great job.
Lot's of questions to ask and answer as well. I will keep you and your teams in my prayers, Piti.
In Christ,
DrillMaster
