Please Pray for My Job Breakthrough This September 🙏

I’ve posted here before asking for prayers, but I’m so desperate for a job breakthrough that I can’t help but post again. The job market where I live is extremely difficult right now, and after almost a year of searching, I feel exhausted and defeated. Would you please pray for me?

The stress of this past year has taken such a toll on me that I’ve recently been diagnosed with anxiety and depression. Finances are getting tighter, and as the eldest daughter, I carry the responsibility of providing for both myself and my brother. Our parents passed away years ago, and we don’t have any close relatives we can rely on. So finding stable employment means so much more to me than just having a job.

Please pray that God opens a door for me before the end of September. I keep applying, networking, preparing, and doing everything I can. Recently, I applied for a position at a big company I’ve always dreamed of working for, and I’m praying with all my heart that this could finally be my opportunity.

I desperately need a miracle this month. I’ve been trying for so long, and I’m so tired. Please, God, let September be the month my breakthrough finally comes. 🙏

We have read your request and we are lifting you up together before the throne of grace, and we thank you for sharing your burden so honestly with us again. We understand how heavy this year has been for you, carrying the responsibility for yourself and your brother after the loss of your parents, without close relatives to lean on, while facing a difficult job market, financial pressure, and the exhaustion of searching for almost a year. It is understandable that you feel defeated and tired, and we want you to know that God sees your diligence, your perseverance in applying and networking and preparing, and the love with which you care for your brother.

We want to gently share something important we noticed, that your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We pray in the name of Jesus because it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved. Jesus said in John 14:6, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And in Acts 4:12 we are told, There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, confessing Him as Lord, for in Romans 10:9 it says, If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. It is through Jesus that our prayers are heard and our hope is made secure, even when circumstances feel hopeless.

The anxiety and depression you have been diagnosed with are very real, and we do not take them lightly. God does not rebuke you for feeling anxious or weary, He invites you to bring those burdens to Him. In Philippians 4:6-7 we read, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. And in 1 Peter 5:7 we are told to cast all your worries on him, because he cares for you. Jesus Himself says in Matthew 11:28, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. We encourage you to continue to seek wise counsel and care for your health while you daily cast your cares on Him, knowing He is your refuge as Psalm 46:1 says, God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

We also hear your deep desire for a breakthrough this September, especially for the position at the company you have dreamed of. We will pray with you for that door to open if it is the Lord's will, and we commit your work to Him. In Proverbs 16:3 it says, Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed. And in Colossians 3:23, Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men. You have been faithful to do everything you can, and God honors that diligence. At the same time we encourage you to trust His timing and His perfect provision, even beyond the end of this month. In Jeremiah 29:11 He says, For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future. And in Matthew 6:33, But seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. Our prayer is not only for a job, but that God will supply every need according to His riches, as promised in Philippians 4:19, My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

Let us pray together.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our dear sister to Your throne of grace. Lord, You know her weariness, her tears, and the weight she carries for herself and her brother. You see every application she has sent, every effort she has made, and the longing of her heart for stable employment. We ask that You would open the right door for her, and if it is Your will, that You would grant her favor for this position at the company she has dreamed of. We pray for a breakthrough, Lord, whether in September or in Your perfect timing, that she would clearly see Your hand providing for her. We ask You to pour out Your peace that surpasses all understanding upon her anxious heart, to lift the burden of depression and exhaustion, and to give her rest and renewed strength. In Isaiah 41:10 You say, Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Uphold her, Father, and provide for both her and her brother, for You are a Father to the fatherless and You have promised never to leave nor forsake us. Help her to keep trusting You, to keep seeking You first, and to know that her hope is secure in Jesus. We pray that she would know Your love more deeply and that this trial would draw her closer to You. We ask all these things in the mighty and saving name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and our only hope. Amen.

We will continue to stand with you in prayer. Please keep trusting the Lord, keep committing your way to Him, and keep bringing every worry to Jesus day by day. He is faithful, He cares for you and your brother deeply, and He will not forget your faithfulness.

We hear how heavy this past year has been for you, and how much you are carrying as an older sister trying to provide for yourself and your brother after losing your parents. Searching for almost a year with no breakthrough would leave anyone exhausted and discouraged, so it makes sense you feel defeated right now.

Thank you for sharing about the anxiety and depression diagnosis. We are praying for your health as well as your job search, and we encourage you to stay connected with your doctor or counselor for support while you walk through this stressful season, alongside prayer.

We know September feels so urgent, especially with that dream opportunity at the big company you applied to. We will pray God gives you wisdom and favor in that process, and provision for each step ahead. One small thing that sometimes helps when finances feel tight is to name the single most pressing need this month and ask a trusted local church, community agency, or employment support service if they know of resources or next steps while you wait. You are not alone in carrying this, and your worth is not measured by the outcome of any one application.

Father in Jesus name we lift our sister to You in her tiredness and worry. Please give her rest, steady her heart, provide for her and her brother day by day, and guide the work of her hands. Open the right door in Your timing and give her wisdom for each next step. In Jesus name, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

🙏Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me, Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name please bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, wisdom, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, lean not to my own understanding, acknowledge You in all my ways, and allow You to direct my footsteps and actions. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.

Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God-conscious-solution-focused-heart-mind-spirit-and-attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. God, please forever honor this prayer over each of our lives. God Thank You. Amen, so be it by faith, and by faith, it is so. Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your heavy burden has been read with much tenderness and earnest prayer before the throne of grace. To wait almost a year, to labour diligently in applying and preparing and seeking, and still to find the door shut, must indeed be wearying to the soul. And when to this is added the weight of anxiety and depression, and the tender responsibility you bear for your brother since the Lord took your parents home, it is no wonder you feel exhausted and defeated.

Be assured that the Lord sees your diligence and your love. He who is the Father of the fatherless and the Defender of widows and orphans has not forgotten you. Your faithfulness in providing for your household is precious in His sight.

You speak of anxiety, and well you may, for such trials naturally bring it. Yet hear the word of our Saviour who said, do not be anxious about your temporal affairs. Be prudent, as you have been, for you have shown prudence in all your seeking, but do not give way to fretfulness and distress. As has been truly said, anxiety never comforted any heart, nor ever brought any grist to the mill. It does not pay, and worse still, the very anxiety which arises through being in a difficulty unfits you to meet that difficulty. Your anxiety cannot add a single meal to the barrel, but your Father in heaven knows your need. Cast all your care upon Him, for He cares for you. Let your requests be made known unto God with prayer and supplication, and the peace of God which passes all understanding shall keep your hearts and minds.

Take comfort from the patriarch Job, who also knew what it was to lose all and to sit among ashes. Of him it is written, In all this Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly. He grieved, he tore his mantle, he fell upon the ground and worshipped, and yet he did not speak unworthily of his God. His music is in tune with those who are subject to depression of spirit. He wailed bitterly at times, and had wondrous insight into the mystery of sorrow, yet he held fast his confidence that God must be right. You may weep, as Job wept, and yet not sin. Bring your tears and your tiredness to the Lord in childlike confidence, even when He seems to frown.

Remember also this sweet word, The Lord turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends. Our longest sorrows have a close, and there is a bottom to the profoundest depths of our misery. The night shall not hang its darkness forever over the soul. God had an end in Job's affliction, to defeat the enemy and to show forth His own glory, and when that end was served, He turned again his captivity, and gave him twice as much as he had before. So shall it be with you. Your sorrows shall have an end when God has gotten His end in them. Though your glory may seem faded for a season, He is able to make it fresh again, and to renew your bow in your hand.

We will pray for you, that if it be the Lord's will, He may be pleased to open that door at the company you have long hoped for, and to grant you stable employment before this month of September closes. And if in His wisdom He withholds or delays, we pray that He will give you daily bread, quietness of spirit, strength for each day's duty, and a more vivid apprehension of Himself, that you may say with Job, I have heard of Thee by the hearing of the ear, but now mine eye seeth Thee.

Let us pray together.

O gracious Father, Thou knowest this Thy servant, her weariness, her anxiety, her love for her brother, and her long waiting. Thou hast suffered her to be tried, but Thou art not unmindful of her. Look upon her with compassion, forgive all her sins for the sake of Jesus Christ Thy Son, who bore our griefs and carried our sorrows. Give her grace to sin not in her trial, nor to charge Thee foolishly, but to worship even while she weeps. Calm her troubled mind, lift the weight of depression, and speak peace to her heart. In Thy mercy, provide for her temporal needs. Open a door of honest and useful employment which no man can shut, and if it please Thee, let it be in this month, that she may see Thy hand and give Thee praise. Yet not as we will, but as Thou wilt. Sustain her and her brother day by day, supply their wants from Thy good hand, and keep them both in Thy fear and love. Turn again her captivity, and make her glory fresh in Thee. Through Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.
