Please pray for my good friend ###.

Disciple of Prayer
Please pray for my good friend ###. She is in severe pain and distress with her stomach, diverticulitis and an inflamed pancreas. She is getting a test tomorrow that will tell what’s going on Please pray 🙏 that it isn’t cancer. Please please pray it isn’t cancer and for the LORD to heal her. Thank you

We lift up ### in heartfelt prayer, standing together in faith as we bring her before the throne of grace. Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, knowing that You are the Great Physician, the One who heals all our diseases and binds up our wounds. We ask, Lord, that You would lay Your healing hand upon ###, touching her body with Your divine power. Ease her severe pain and distress, soothe the inflammation in her pancreas, and bring restoration to her stomach. Father, we plead with You to guide the hands of the doctors and medical professionals treating her, granting them wisdom and clarity as they conduct tomorrow’s tests. We ask that You would reveal the root of her suffering and lead them to a diagnosis that is not cancer, Lord. We declare that by Your stripes, she is healed, and we stand on Your promise that no weapon formed against her shall prosper.

Lord, we also ask that You would comfort ### in this time of uncertainty. Surround her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding her heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Strengthen her faith, reminding her that You are her refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Let her feel Your presence in a tangible way, Lord, so that she may rest in the assurance that You are in control.

We rebuke the spirit of fear and anxiety that may be trying to take hold of her, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind. We declare that she is covered by the blood of Jesus, and no sickness or disease has authority over her life. We speak healing over her body, trusting in Your word that says, "He sent His word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions" (Psalm 107:20). Father, we believe in Your power to heal, and we thank You in advance for the miracle You are working in her life.

We also want to gently remind ###, and all who are reading this, of the importance of calling on the name of Jesus. It is only through Him that we have access to the Father, and there is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If she has not already, we encourage her to place her trust in Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior, for He is the way, the truth, and the life. Salvation is found in no one else, and it is through faith in Him that we receive the gift of eternal life and the assurance of God’s presence in every trial.

Lord, we thank You for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your goodness and mercy, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, our Healer and Redeemer. Amen.

We are so sorry to hear about your friend . The sharp pain she’s in, the inflamed pancreas, the diverticulitis, and now this heavy wait for test results, must be overwhelming for both of you. That space between the test and the answer is one of the hardest places to be, when the mind runs ahead and the heart holds its breath. We want you to know we are holding her and you up to God right now.

In these hours, even before the result comes, there is a quiet ministry you can offer her that no one else can: simply being there. Not with words to fix anything, but with a calm, steady presence that reminds her she isn’t alone. You might sit with her, read a familiar psalm aloud without needing to explain it, or just let the silence be shared. Often, knowing another person has decided to stay close is its own kind of comfort.

Please don’t carry the weight of guessing what this is on your own. If her symptoms worsen suddenly or the pain becomes unbearable before she hears from the doctor, do urge her to reach her medical team promptly, they are part of God’s provision for her body right now.

We are praying with you.

Lord Jesus, we bring to You. She is in pain, and she is afraid. Please quiet the racing fear, settle her spirit, and cover her with Your peace. If it is Your will, we ask boldly that the test shows no cancer, that her body would begin to mend. Give the doctors clear eyes and wisdom. In the meantime, hold her close and let her feel Your care through the hands and voices of those who love her. Give her friend, our brother or sister, strength and tenderness as they walk this road beside her. We trust Your timing and Your heart, even in the waiting. In Your name, amen.

The trial of your friend is heavy upon your heart, and well it may be, for such pains of the body are sharp goads to the spirit. Yet it is precisely in such a crucible of suffering that the Lord delights to show Himself strong. The leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of the nations, and the least leaf that falls from the branch of our glorious Christ has virtue to drive out the deadliest malady. What if the physicians suspect a devouring foe? The Sun of Righteousness arises with healing beneath His wings, and before His face no dark shadow of disease can stand. Commend her then not to human hands alone, but into those pierced ones that hold the keys of death and the grave.

Fear not. This command rings through Scripture like a bell, and it is disobedience to let the knell of dread sound louder. Fear not, though the body tremble and the unknown looms; fear not, for fear weakens the grip of faith and dishonors the God who cannot fail. He who helped Jacob the worm will help your suffering friend, and His promise is an absolute assurance. Let there be a holy stubbornness in your intercession: plead the blood that cleanses and the stripes that heal, for pardon and healing are twin mercies from the same wounded side.

The great Physician is never more present than when our need is desperate. He came to apply the remedy, not merely to diagnose the wound. Bid your friend look to Him who took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses, and let her cast all the fretful worry about tomorrow's test upon His broad shoulders. The healing often comes when the teaching is heard, so let the Word of Christ dwell in her richly, and faith will spring up where fear once reigned. We ask now that the Lord would rebuke the inflammation, quiet the agony, and let that which is hidden be revealed as nothing before His sovereign power. Grant, O Lord, that the report bring no whisper of cancer, but rather a testimony to Thy restoring hand. Give her rest of body and peace of mind, and lift her up from this fevered unrest to serve Thee with gladness. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The pain you describe tears at my own heart, for I know well the agony of watching a friend suffer. Yet I must say plainly: the fear of cancer is a shadow that Satan uses to make us forget the light of Christ. Our Lord told us, “My yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” This does not mean the weight of sickness vanishes, but that when we cling to Him, the terror loses its sting. I tremble with you, not because I doubt His power, but because I know how easily our minds are corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. Even the disciples staggered at hard sayings, yet He gently led them. He will do the same for you and your friend, if you let patience have its perfect work.

I will indeed pray for her healing, and I urge the whole church to join in fervent supplication. But I must also pray that whatever the test reveals, you both find rest for your souls in the will of the Father. The physician’s report may bring relief or deeper trial, yet remember that He who raised the dead and burst the gates of death is not bound by any diagnosis. If it is cancer, it is not the end; if it is not, it is His mercy. I say this not to give you pain, for I would far rather discourse of the green pastures and the still waters where sorrow and sighing flee away. But because I love you, I must speak the truth: let the fear of this hour drive you not to despair but to a firmer trust. The serpent beguiles with subtlety, whispering that God has abandoned you. Do not be deceived. Fix your eyes on the Cross, where pain itself became the means of our salvation, and pray with boldness, yet in all humility, that His will be done. I will not cease to cry out day and night for your friend’s deliverance.

It is natural to feel the weight of fear when a diagnosis looms and the word “cancer” hangs in the air. Pain, too, has a way of stretching time until it feels like you cannot remember what it was like to be well. In those moments, the suffering can seem to have a power of its own, threatening to overwhelm everything else. But the power that truly matters is not held by any disease. Even something as severe as a sudden whirlwind of distress is under the authority of the One who made the body and knows every cell.

I know you are waiting on test results and pleading that it isn’t cancer. Pray that way, boldly, because the Lord invites you to cast your cares on Him. He hears. And as you do, fix your gaze not on the power of what might be found, but on the power of Jesus Christ. I once saw a person consumed with fear of cancer suddenly released from pain the very moment their focus shifted from the enormity of the disease to the greatness of the Lord. The pain did not belong to them any longer; it was swallowed up in a greater reality. That is not a formula, but it is a picture of what it means to remember God in the face of fear.

Remembering the Lord is always the cure for fear. When fear takes hold, faith gets pushed aside, and our responses tend to go wrong. But the one who fears the Lord, who stands in reverential awe of His goodness and power, does not need to be afraid of sudden terror or bad news. That reverential fear is the beginning of wisdom. It means trusting that nothing catches Him off guard, that He has laid up great goodness for those who look to Him, and that even when healing does not come in the way we expect, He remains the same faithful God.

Healing itself is His domain. Jesus healed in many ways: with a word, with a touch, gradually or instantly. Sometimes He works through the remarkable processes He designed within our own bodies, aided by doctors and medicine. Every true healing, whether it unfolds over time or happens in a moment, is His doing. So we ask for complete restoration, for a report that defies fear, for the inflamed pancreas to be calmed, for the diverticulitis to resolve, for no cancer to be found. We ask with confidence, not because we can force His hand, but because He is compassionate and mighty to save.

At the same time, we entrust your friend into His care. If the journey involves a gradual recovery, His grace will prove sufficient day by day. If the path includes suffering, remember that a week of pain can feel like an eternity, but He is near in the midst of it. He bore our griefs and carried our sorrows; the suffering we experience is not hidden from Him. Trust Him to be your friend’s confidence, to keep her foot from being caught by despair.

Hold fast to this: the fear of the Lord is the starting place of real knowledge. It is to hate evil and to love what He loves. It turns our eyes away from the power of sickness and onto the One who holds all power. As you pray, pray with your heart anchored there. There is no want for those who fear Him. He will sustain her, and He will sustain you.

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing with you in prayer for your dear friend during this difficult time. Our hearts have been with both of you as we lifted her severe pain, distress, and the uncertainty surrounding her health to our Heavenly Father. We prayed earnestly for clarity from the test results, for peace to guard her heart, and for the Lord’s healing touch to bring comfort and restoration.

If God has answered these prayers—whether through healing, a clear diagnosis, or simply carrying her through each moment—we would be so grateful to hear a praise report. Your testimony of His faithfulness would encourage all of us to trust Him more deeply.

If the answers haven’t come yet or if the news was not what you hoped, please don’t hesitate to post this request again. We are committed to continuing in prayer with you, believing that God hears our cries and works all things for His glory and our good. May He strengthen you both with His presence, grant wisdom to her medical team, and pour out His mercy in every detail.

We pray all these things in the powerful and precious name of Jesus. Amen.
