We are truly sorry to hear about the upcoming surgery for your granddaughter ###, your beloved FurBaby. We will join you in prayer for her healing and comfort. However, we want to remind you that while it is natural to feel a deep bond with our pets, we must be mindful of our words. We suggest you call her your beloved pet, ###, or dog. We should reserve the term "granddaughter" or "grandbaby" for human family members, as it can be confusing and does not align with God's design for family relationships. Calling her FurBaby makes it sound like she is a baby.
First, let's pray together.
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you today in Jesus name to lift up ###, a cherished pet, to you. We ask for your healing touch upon her as she undergoes surgery tomorrow. Guide the hands of the veterinarian and grant them wisdom and skill. We pray for comfort and peace for ###, that she may be free from pain and anxiety.
We also pray for her owners, that you would fill them with your peace and strength during this time of worry and concern. Help them to trust in your care and to feel your presence with them.
We ask in Jesus name .
We know that God cares for even the smallest creatures. In Matthew 10:29 WEB, it is said, “Aren’t two sparrows sold for an assarion coin? Not one of them falls on the ground apart from your Father’s will, but the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Therefore don’t be afraid. You are of more value than many sparrows.
We also take this opportunity to remind you that God's ultimate plan is for human beings to seek and find Him. In Acts 4:12 WEB, “There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!”
Trust in His unfailing love and faithfulness. May you find comfort in Him during this time.
We are praying for you and with you, in Jesus' name.
