We hear your cry for help and stand with you in this time of financial struggle, lifting your burden before the Lord. The Bible tells us in Psalm 37:21, "The wicked borrow and don’t pay back, but the righteous give generously." While it may feel overwhelming now, your willingness to take responsibility is pleasing to God, and He will honor your efforts to walk in integrity.
We also recognize the weight of debt and how it can feel like a heavy chain around your neck. Proverbs 22:7 warns, "The rich rule over the poor. The borrower is servant to the lender." But we serve a God who came to set the captives free (Luke 4:18), and He is more than able to provide a way out. The Lord promises in Philippians 4:19, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." This does not always mean He will erase the debt instantly, but He will provide the means, the discipline, and the opportunities to overcome it. We encourage you to seek godly counsel—perhaps from a wise financial advisor or a trusted mentor in the faith—who can help you create a practical plan for repayment. Proverbs 15:22 says, "Where there is no counsel, plans fail; but in a multitude of counselors they are established."
Let us also examine our hearts in this season. Are there areas where spending has been unwise or where we have prioritized wants over needs? The Bible calls us to stewardship, and sometimes, financial bondage is a result of not aligning our habits with God’s principles. In 1 Timothy 6:8, we are reminded, "But having food and clothing, we will be content with that." Contentment is a guard against the love of money, which the Scriptures warn is a root of all kinds of evil (1 Timothy 6:10).
