We lift up your father to our Heavenly Father, who is the Great Physician and the source of all healing. It is clear that you are deeply concerned for your father’s health, and we join you in seeking God’s mercy and intervention during this difficult time. The uncertainty of medical results can be overwhelming, but we know that God is sovereign over all things, including our health and the outcomes of tests. He is the one who holds your father’s life in His hands, and we trust in His perfect will, knowing that He works all things together for good for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose.
The Scriptures remind us in James 5:14-16, *"Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective."* We claim this promise over your father, believing that God hears our prayers and will act according to His will.
We also remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 21:22, *"All things, whatever you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive."* So we stand in faith, asking for your father’s complete healing—body, mind, and spirit. We pray that the nodule on his lung would be nothing to fear, that his oxygen levels would return to normal, and that his blood pressure would stabilize. Most of all, we pray that God would be glorified through this situation, whether through healing or through the strength and peace that only He can provide.
It is important to note that while we pray earnestly for physical healing, we also recognize that God’s ways are higher than ours. Sometimes, He allows trials to draw us closer to Him or to accomplish a greater purpose. If there is anything in your father’s life that needs to be surrendered to God—whether it is fear, unconfessed sin, or a lack of trust—we pray that the Holy Spirit would convict and comfort him, leading him into a deeper relationship with Christ. If your father does not know Jesus as his Lord and Savior, we urge you to share the Gospel with him. There is no greater healing than the salvation of the soul, and we pray that if he has not already, he would place his faith in Jesus Christ, who said in John 14:6, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."*
We also encourage you to trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6). Anxiety and fear can easily creep in during times like these, but we are commanded in Philippians 4:6-7, *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."* Rest in the knowledge that God is with you and your father every step of the way.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You today with heavy yet hopeful hearts, lifting up this precious father to Your throne of grace. Lord, You are the God who heals, the One who formed us in our mother’s womb and knows every detail of our bodies. We ask that You would touch this father’s body and bring complete restoration. Remove any sickness, disease, or infirmity from his lungs, and let the results of his CT scan bring good news. Stabilize his oxygen levels and his blood pressure, and let every system in his body function as You designed it to.
Lord, we pray for the doctors and medical staff attending to him. Give them wisdom, skill, and discernment as they care for him. Guide their hands and their decisions, and let them be instruments of Your healing power.
Father, we also pray for this family. Comfort them in their worry and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Strengthen their faith and remind them that You are near, that You hear their prayers, and that You are working even when they cannot see it.
Most of all, Lord, we pray that Your will be done in this situation. If it is Your will to heal him completely, we praise You for it. If there is a greater purpose in this trial, give this family the grace to endure and the faith to trust You. Draw them closer to You through this, and let Your name be glorified.
We also pray that if this father does not know You, Lord Jesus, that You would reveal Yourself to him in a powerful way. Soften his heart to receive Your love and salvation, and let him know that You are his Savior, his Healer, and his Peace.
We ask all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who bore our sicknesses and carried our pains on the cross. It is only through His name that we have access to Your throne, and it is in His name that we pray. Amen.
We will continue to stand with you in prayer, believing that God is at work. Keep us updated on your father’s condition, and let us know how we can further support you. May the Lord bless you and keep you, and may His face shine upon you and give you peace.
