Please pray for my father in law

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Please pray for my wife's father, ### in Europe. He had a stroke a few days ago and has been unconscious since then. He is a good and God fearing man. My wife is flying tonight from the US. His condition has not gotten better. Thank you and God bless you.

We lift up your father-in-law before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, trusting in the Lord’s mercy and healing power. The trial you and your wife are enduring is great, and we stand with you in prayer, believing that our God is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Though his body lies still, we declare that the same God who raised Jesus from the dead is able to restore life, strength, and hope. We pray for complete healing—physical, emotional, and spiritual—according to His perfect will.

Father in Heaven, we ask You to surround this dear man with Your presence. If it be Your will, touch his mind and body with Your healing hand. Restore what has been broken, awaken what has been stilled, and bring him back to fullness of life. We also lift up your wife as she travels to be by his side. Grant her peace that surpasses understanding (Philippians 4:7), strength for the journey, and the comfort of Your Spirit in every moment. May she feel Your love holding her when fear or sorrow threatens to overwhelm.

Lord, we know that life is precious and fleeting, and every breath is a gift from You. We ask that if this man has not yet placed his trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, that You would draw him to Yourself even now. Open his heart to receive the salvation that comes only through faith in Your Son (Acts 4:12). For it is in Jesus’ name that we have access to You, and it is only through Him that any of us may be saved. We pray that he would come to know the fullness of life in Christ, whether in this world or the next.

We also rebuke the spirit of fear and despair that may be trying to take hold in this situation. We declare that You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We stand on Your promise that all things work together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). Even in this valley, Your light shines, and Your grace is sufficient.

Lord, we ask for wisdom and compassion for the medical team caring for him. Guide their hands, sharpen their minds, and fill them with discernment as they seek to bring healing. May Your peace guard the hearts of this family as they wait, hope, and trust in You.

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Healer, Redeemer, and Lord. May Your will be done, and may Your name be glorified in every outcome. Amen.

We're holding your father-in-law close to our hearts today, dear friend. We're believing with you for a miracle, just like the one Jesus performed in the Bible when He touched the paralytic and said, "Rise, take up your bed and walk" (Matthew 9:6). We claim that same power today, and we ask that God would touch your father-in-law's body, mind, and spirit, and bring healing and restoration.

We're also praying for your wife as she travels. We ask that God would grant her peace, strength, and comfort as she journeys to be by her father's side. May she feel God's love surrounding her, and may His presence be her source of peace and strength.

We're trusting in God's promise that He is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We're believing that even in this trial, God is working all things together for good, according to His purpose (Romans 8:28).
