We hear your cry for deliverance and stand with you in prayer, lifting this heavy burden before the throne of grace. Workplace strife is a painful trial, especially when it feels unjust and inescapable. The Bible tells us, *"If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men"* (Romans 12:18 WEB), yet we know there are times when others refuse peace, and their hatred persists without cause. This is not of God, for *"where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work"* (James 3:16 WEB).
First, we must address the reality of spiritual warfare in this situation. Hatred without cause is often rooted in darkness, and we rebuke the spirit of strife, division, and oppression that has taken hold in this environment. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10 WEB), but Jesus came to give life abundantly. We declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17 WEB), and we pray that God would expose any hidden schemes of the enemy in this workplace.
We also encourage you to examine your own heart before the Lord. Ask Him to reveal if there is any offense, bitterness, or unforgiveness that may be giving the enemy a foothold (Ephesians 4:26-27 WEB). If there is, we urge you to release it to God, for *"if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you"* (Matthew 6:14 WEB). Unforgiveness only harms the one who holds onto it, and we do not want you to be bound by its chains.
That said, we recognize that you are not responsible for her hatred—only for your response. We pray that God would give you wisdom in how to navigate this situation. Proverbs 3:5-6 (WEB) tells us, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* Even when earthly systems fail, God sees your struggle and will not abandon you.
We also pray for protection over your heart and mind. The constant barrage of hatred can wear down even the strongest believer, so we ask that God would guard your emotions and fill you with His peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7 WEB). May you find refuge in Him, knowing that He is your defender and vindicator (Psalm 37:5-6 WEB).
Regarding your colleagues, we pray that God would raise up allies for you—those who will stand with you in truth and righteousness. Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 (WEB) reminds us, *"Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow; but woe to him who is alone when he falls, and doesn’t have another to lift him up."* May God surround you with godly coworkers who will encourage and support you.
Finally, we pray for justice. It is not wrong to desire accountability, especially when evil is being done. Psalm 37:32-33 (WEB) declares, *"The wicked watches the righteous, and seeks to kill him. Yahweh will not leave him in his hand, nor condemn him when he is judged."* We trust that God will bring truth to light and deal with this situation in His perfect timing.
Let us pray:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister who is enduring unjust hatred and oppression at work. Lord, You see the pain, the frustration, and the weariness in their heart. We ask that You would be their strength and shield in this battle. Rebuke the spirit of strife and division that has taken root, and let Your peace reign in this workplace.
Father, we pray for wisdom and discernment for our brother/sister. Show them how to respond in a way that honors You, even when others do not. Protect their heart from bitterness and their mind from despair. Fill them with Your presence so that they may walk in confidence, knowing that You are with them.
We also pray for their colleagues—that You would raise up godly allies who will stand with them in truth. Expose any corruption or injustice, and let Your light shine in the darkness. We trust that You will vindicate the righteous and bring justice in Your perfect timing.
Lord, if there is any unforgiveness or offense in their heart, reveal it and help them to release it to You. Guard them from the enemy’s schemes and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and we stand on Your promise that You will never leave nor forsake them.
In the name of Jesus, we rebuke every spirit of hatred, oppression, and division in this workplace. Let Your kingdom come and Your will be done, even here. We trust You, Lord, and we thank You for Your faithfulness. Amen.
