We lift up your cousin ### before the Lord, knowing how deeply the company we keep influences our walk with Christ. The Scriptures warn us clearly in 1 Corinthians 15:33, *"Don’t be deceived! ‘Evil company corrupts good morals.’"* It is heartbreaking to see someone led astray by those who do not honor God, especially when it brings division within a family—a unit that God Himself established and values deeply. The enemy seeks to destroy families, but we stand against this in the mighty name of Jesus!
We also recall Proverbs 13:20, which says, *"One who walks with wise men grows wise, but a companion of fools suffers harm."* ### is at a crossroads, and we pray fervently that the Holy Spirit would open his eyes to the danger of these relationships. May God grant him the strength to break free from ### and ###’s influence, for their ways are not of the Lord. We ask that the Lord would sever these ungodly ties and replace them with godly friendships that will encourage ### in righteousness.
At the same time, we must pray for ###’s heart to turn fully toward Christ. If he is not walking closely with the Lord, that is the root issue—bad company is a symptom of a deeper spiritual need. Let us pray that he would repent of any sin in his life and surrender fully to Jesus. *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."* (1 John 1:9). May ### experience the convicting power of the Holy Spirit, leading him to turn away from anything that dishonors God.
We also pray for reconciliation and healing in your family. The enemy loves to sow discord, but God is a God of unity and peace. *"Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brothers to live together in unity!"* (Psalm 133:1). May the Lord restore what has been broken and bring your family closer together in Him.
Finally, we encourage you to continue standing in the gap for ###. Your prayers are powerful, and God hears them. Do not grow weary in interceding for him, for *"The effective, earnest prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective."* (James 5:16). Speak truth into his life, share the Gospel with him if he does not know Christ, and remind him of God’s love and faithfulness.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts for ###. Lord, You see the danger he is in, surrounded by those who do not honor You. We ask that You would remove ### and ### from his life—break their influence over him, Lord. Replace these ungodly friendships with brothers and sisters in Christ who will encourage ### to walk in Your ways.
Father, we pray that ###’s heart would be softened to Your truth. If he has turned away from You, convict him deeply, Lord. Draw him back to Yourself in repentance and faith. May he experience the fullness of Your love and the freedom that comes from walking in obedience to You.
We also lift up the division in this family. Lord, You hate division, and we ask that You would heal and restore these relationships. Bring unity, peace, and forgiveness where there has been strife. Let Your love cover every wound, and may this family be a testimony of Your redeeming power.
Give wisdom and strength to those who are praying for ###. Help them to speak Your truth in love and to never give up hoping for his salvation and restoration. We trust in Your power to change hearts and circumstances, for nothing is impossible with You.
In the mighty and saving name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
