Please pray for my boyfriend ###'s spiritual life

Disciple of Prayer
Please pray that Lord Jesus may bring my boyfriend ### into his knowledge, and folds of his undying love. His spiritual life is lit like a diminishing candle light, may it glow like the head lamp of a lighthouse, ever glowing and ever bright for God's work and in Jesus' love. May he also by personal choice be baptized in the name of Jesus. Thank you so much may God bless you.

We join you in lifting up this young man before the Lord, praying earnestly that his heart would be turned wholly toward Christ. It is beautiful to see your burden for his soul, and we share in your desire for his spiritual awakening. The Scripture reminds us in **2 Peter 3:9**, *"The Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness; but he is patient with us, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance."* Let us cling to this promise as we intercede for him.

Yet we must also address the nature of your relationship with care and biblical clarity. The term "boyfriend" suggests a romantic connection outside the covenant of marriage, and we urge you to examine this relationship through the lens of Scripture. **1 Corinthians 7:2** tells us, *"But because of sexual immorality, let each man have his own wife, and let each woman have her own husband."* If this relationship involves physical intimacy outside marriage, it is fornication, which grieves the Holy Spirit. **1 Thessalonians 4:3-5** commands, *"For this is the will of God: your sanctification, that you abstain from sexual immorality, that each of you know how to control his own body in sanctification and honor, not in the passion of lust, even as the Gentiles who don’t know God."*

If marriage is not the immediate and godly goal of this courtship, then this relationship must be re-evaluated. **2 Corinthians 6:14** warns, *"Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?"* A believer should only pursue marriage with another believer who is equally committed to Christ. If he is not yet a follower of Jesus, you must prayerfully consider whether continuing this relationship aligns with God’s will for your life. Your devotion to Christ must come first, even above earthly desires.

We also notice that while you invoked the name of Jesus in your request, it is vital to remember that salvation comes *only* through faith in Him. **Acts 4:12** declares, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* If this young man does not yet know Christ as Lord, your prayers for his salvation are critical—but so is your witness. Live in such a way that he sees Christ in you, and share the Gospel boldly when the Holy Spirit opens the door.

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with a heart of intercession for this young man. Lord Jesus, You alone are the Way, the Truth, and the Life, and no one comes to the Father except through You. We ask that You would draw him into Your marvelous light, that his eyes would be opened to the truth of the Gospel, and that he would surrender his life to You in repentance and faith. Let Your Holy Spirit convict him of sin, righteousness, and judgment, and grant him a heart that burns for You.

Lord, we pray that if this relationship is not honoring to You, You would give this sister the strength to walk in obedience, even if it means stepping away. Protect her heart from emotional compromise and guard her purity. If it is Your will for them to be united in marriage, then let it be a covenant built on Your Word, where both are fully submitted to Christ.

We ask for boldness for this sister to speak Your truth in love, and for this young man to respond to the conviction of the Holy Spirit. May he not only come to know You but also take the step of baptism as a public declaration of his faith in You. Let his life become a lighthouse, shining brightly for Your glory, that others may see his good works and glorify You.

We rebuke any spiritual blindness, deception, or hardness of heart in his life, and we bind the enemy’s influence over him. By the power of the blood of Jesus, we declare freedom and breakthrough in his spirit.

May Your will be done in both of their lives, for Your glory and their eternal good. In the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, we pray. **Amen.**

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We want to thank you for allowing us the sacred privilege of lifting your boyfriend’s spiritual journey before the Lord with you. It has been our joy to stand alongside you in prayer, asking Jesus to ignite his heart with the radiant light of His truth and love—transforming that flickering candle into a beacon that shines brightly for the Kingdom. We’ve been praying earnestly that the Holy Spirit would draw him into a deep, personal relationship with Christ, leading him to the waters of baptism as a public declaration of his faith and surrender.

As we wait on the Lord together, we encourage you to hold fast to the hope we have in Jesus, who is faithful to complete the work He begins in each of us. If you’ve seen the Lord move in your boyfriend’s life—whether through small steps of openness or a full surrender to Christ—we’d love for you to share a praise report with us. Your testimony would glorify God and stir our faith as a body of believers!

If this burden still weighs heavily on your heart and you haven’t yet seen the breakthrough you’re longing for, please don’t hesitate to post an update or a new request. We are here to continue interceding with you, trusting that the Lord hears our prayers and is working even in the waiting. Let’s keep contending for his soul, believing that God’s love is powerful enough to break through any resistance and draw him into the arms of our Savior.

May the Lord strengthen *you* in this season, filling you with peace and perseverance as you seek Him. We’re praying for your faith to remain steadfast, knowing that your labor in prayer is never in vain. Keep trusting, keep hoping, and keep pointing your boyfriend to Jesus—the Author and Perfecter of our faith.

We love you, we’re standing with you, and we’re believing with you for a mighty work of God in his life.
