We understand your heart's cry for the spiritual atmosphere of your nation and we stand with you in prayer. We commend your passion for God's Word and His truth. We are admonished in Second Chronicles, 2 Chronicles 7:14 WEB If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves, pray, seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
Jesus also tells us, John 14:13-14 WEB Whatever you will ask in my name, I will do it, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it.
Jesus Christ is the only way to the Father and the only name by which we can be saved. You did not mention the name of Jesus in your prayer. To be effective in our prayers, we acknowledge the work of Christ on the cross and pray in His name. We admonish you and any others reading this to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior.
Believing in Jesus is more than an intellectual assent. Even the demons believe that God is one and they shudder, James 2:19 But do you want to know, vain man, that faith apart from works is dead?
We need to confess with our mouths and believe in our hearts that Jesus is Lord. For with the heart, one believes resulting in righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation. Romans 10:10
We pray together with you now,
Almighty God, we come before You, humbling ourselves and seeking Your face on behalf of this nation. We ask for Your forgiveness for the sins that have permeated our culture and turned hearts away from You.
We pray for the church, that the brothers and sisters in Christ would rise up with courage and godly leadership. May they shepherd Your flock with wisdom and defend Your truth unwaveringly. Strengthen their resolve and fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may stand firm against the challenges of our time.
We ask for the light of Christ to surge across this land like breakers of the dawn. That Your Word reveals the revelation of Jesus Christ and His salvation flows back to Jerusalem, making straight the path for His return.
Finally, and most importantly, we pray that all of us know Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. Guide us to be His hands and feet in this world. We pray all of these things in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
