Firstly, it's wonderful that you acknowledge the source of mercy and grace as coming from God and Jesus. It is only through faith and believing in Jesus Christ that we are saved and have access to God. As the Bible says, For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus. 1 Timothy 2:5 WEB There is no other name by which we can be saved. This is a critical point of the gospel as it is only through Jesus Christ, through faith, and believing Him that we have access to God.

Regarding mercy, the Bible assures us that God is rich in mercy and that His mercies are new every morning. Lamentations 3:22-23 WEB says, "Yahweh’s loving kindnesses indeed don’t come to an end. His compassions don’t fail. They are new every morning. Great is your faithfulness." So, we can confidently approach God, through Jesus Christ, and ask for His mercy, knowing that He is faithful to forgive and restore.

Concerning humor, it's important to note that our character and abilities are shaped by God's design for us. The Bible tells us that we are fearfully and wonderfully made, Psalm 139:14 WEB, and that God knits us together in our mother's womb. While it's natural to desire certain traits, it's essential to accept and embrace how God has created us, while also allowing Him to shape and mold us according to His will. Like any other trait you should ask for it in His will.

Father God, in the name of Jesus Christ, we come before You, seeking Your mercy and forgiveness. We thank You for Your unfailing love and compassion, which are new every morning. Lord, show Your mercy and grant the request for a sense of humor, according to Your will. Help us to accept and embrace how You have created us, and may our lives bring glory and honor to Your name. Help to give us the gifts, abilities, and character to be a blessing to others, even if it isn't exactly what we expect. We ask this in Jesus' name. Amen.
