Please pray for me

Disciple of Prayer
Please pray for me, someone stole all my money out of my account. It was my rent money. I just got paid, and it was stolen. I was a little short, but they stole it all. I try so hard, going to work, hurting now. I have nothing, and my rent lady won't wait. I'm so tired, so hurt. Why do I suffer so much? I'm so tired. Jesus, please help me.

We hear your cry for help, and our hearts break with yours in this moment of deep distress and betrayal. The theft of your hard-earned money—money meant to keep a roof over your head—is a painful injustice, and we stand with you in grief over this violation. You work so diligently, yet suffering seems to follow you relentlessly, and we understand the exhaustion and despair that can settle into your spirit when life feels relentless in its hardships.

First, we want to rebuke the spirit of theft and injustice in the name of Jesus Christ. The enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that you might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). This act of theft is not from God, and we declare that the thief will not prosper over your life. The Lord sees your labor, your pain, and your tears, and He collects every one of them in His bottle (Psalm 56:8). You are not forgotten, nor are you abandoned in this storm.

We also want to gently remind you that God is your provider, and He is not limited by the schemes of man or the circumstances of this world. Philippians 4:19 assures us, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." This does not mean your struggle is invalid or that your feelings are unimportant, but it does mean that God’s provision is not dependent on what was stolen from you. He can open doors no man can shut and provide in ways you cannot yet imagine. We encourage you to hold onto hope, even when it feels impossible. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18).

We also want to pray over your landlord. While it is understandable that she may have her own obligations, we ask the Lord to soften her heart and grant her patience and compassion toward you. Proverbs 19:17 tells us, "Whoever has pity on the poor lends to Yahweh; he will reward him." We pray that she would see your situation through the lens of grace and extend mercy to you, even if only for a short time.

Now, let us lift you up in prayer:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up our brother/sister who is suffering under the weight of this injustice. Lord, You see the tears, the exhaustion, and the fear that has gripped their heart. You know the rent that is due, the money that was stolen, and the weariness that threatens to overwhelm them. We ask You, Father, to rebuke the spirit of theft and restore what was taken. Let Your justice prevail, and let the enemy’s plans be thwarted in the name of Jesus.

Lord, we declare that You are Jehovah Jireh, the God who provides. We ask You to open doors of provision for our brother/sister. Whether through unexpected help, a kind word from their landlord, or a miracle of multiplication, we trust that You will not leave them destitute. Give them peace that surpasses understanding, guarding their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Remind them that their labor is not in vain in You (1 Corinthians 15:58) and that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28).

Father, we also pray for strength. Our brother/sister is tired, Lord, and the road has been long. Renew their strength like the eagle’s (Isaiah 40:31). Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may find rest in You and hope for the future. Help them to cast their cares upon You, for You care for them (1 Peter 5:7). Let them feel Your presence in this storm, and remind them that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).

Lastly, Lord, we ask that You would draw our brother/sister closer to You through this trial. Let this suffering produce perseverance, character, and hope in them (Romans 5:3-4). May they come to know You more deeply as their Provider, their Comforter, and their Strength. We thank You for hearing our prayer, and we trust in Your faithfulness to answer. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

In the coming days, we encourage you to seek help from your local church or Christian community. Many churches have benevolence funds or resources to assist those in financial crisis, and they may be able to provide immediate relief or connect you with other forms of support. Do not hesitate to reach out—God often works through His people to meet needs.

We also encourage you to report this theft to the authorities. While we trust God to restore what was lost, it is important to hold the thief accountable and prevent this from happening to others. Proverbs 21:15 tells us, "It is joy to the righteous to do justice," and we believe that pursuing justice is part of walking in God’s will.

Lastly, cling to the promises of God’s Word. When you feel like giving up, remember that the Lord is your shepherd, and you shall not want (Psalm 23:1). He will lead you beside still waters and restore your soul. Even in the valley of the shadow of death, you need not fear, for He is with you (Psalm 23:4). Your suffering is not in vain, and your hope in Christ will not disappoint (Romans 5:5). Keep pressing forward, one step at a time, trusting that God is with you.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We want you to know how deeply we’ve carried your burden in prayer these past days. Your cry for help—when every dollar was taken, when exhaustion and fear pressed in, when the weight of suffering felt unbearable—has been lifted before the throne of grace over and over again. We’ve asked our Heavenly Father to restore what was stolen, not just the money, but the peace and security it represented. We’ve prayed for provision to meet your rent, for favor with your landlady, and for strength to keep going when the road feels impossible.

Most of all, we’ve asked Jesus to draw near to you in this storm, to remind you that He sees every tear and hears every whispered prayer. We’ve stood in agreement with you, believing that God can turn even this painful moment into something redeemed. If He has already moved in your situation—if doors have opened, funds have been restored, or unexpected help has arrived—we would love to celebrate with you. Please share a praise report so we can rejoice together in His faithfulness.

If the answer hasn’t come yet, we’re not walking away. This request isn’t forgotten. We invite you to post it again as a fresh plea, and we’ll continue to lift it up, trusting that God is working even when we can’t see it. You’re not alone in this. We’re here to pray, to encourage, and to remind you that His love never fails, even in the hardest seasons.

May the Lord wrap you in His comfort, provide for your every need, and renew your strength as you wait on Him. We pray all these things in the powerful name of Jesus.
