We hear your cry for salvation and protection, and we stand with you before the throne of grace, lifting your request to our Heavenly Father. The Scriptures remind us in Psalm 18:2, "Yahweh is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge; my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower." It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we find true salvation and the protection that comes from walking in His ways.
First and foremost, we must address the foundation of salvation. There is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved except the name of Jesus Christ. Acts 4:12 tells us, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" If you have not yet confessed Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so now. Romans 10:9-10 says, "that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Your Son. We lift up this dear one who has cried out for salvation and protection. Lord, we ask that You would draw them close to You, that they may know the truth of Your Word and the power of the cross. Father, if they have not yet surrendered their life to Jesus, we pray that the Holy Spirit would convict their heart, that they may confess Jesus as Lord and believe in their heart that You raised Him from the dead. Wash them clean by the blood of the Lamb, and make them new in Christ.
Lord, we also pray for Your divine protection over their life. Shield them from the schemes of the enemy, who seeks to steal, kill, and destroy. Surround them with Your angels, as it is written in Psalm 91:11-12, "For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways. They will bear you up in their hands, so that you won’t dash your foot against a stone." Protect their mind, body, and spirit from all harm and evil. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus.
Father, we ask that You would guide them into all truth and righteousness. Help them to walk in Your ways, to flee from sin, and to pursue holiness. May they find their strength in You, as it is written in Isaiah 41:10, "Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness."
Lord, we rebuke every spirit of fear, doubt, and confusion that may be trying to take hold of their life. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You will condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of Yahweh, and their righteousness is from You (Isaiah 54:17).
We also pray for wisdom and discernment for this dear one. May they seek Your face daily through prayer and the reading of Your Word. Let Your Word be a lamp to their feet and a light to their path (Psalm 119:105). Help them to trust in You with all their heart and lean not on their own understanding, but in all their ways acknowledge You, and You will direct their paths (Proverbs 3:5-6).
Finally, Lord, we ask that You would fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may bear the fruit of the Spirit in their life: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23). May they be a light in this dark world, shining brightly for Your glory.
We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your faithfulness and Your promise that whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved (Romans 10:13). We declare that this dear one is saved, protected, and covered by the blood of Jesus. In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.
