We join with you in prayer for true love and for the desire to do God's will, and we are encouraged by your heart to seek nobility, compassion and gentleness in love and to walk in faith in Christ while abstaining from sexual immorality to remain pure before the Lord.
The desire you express is aligned with Scripture, for God Himself is love and true love flows from Him. Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God, and everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. He who does not love does not know God, for God is love 1 John 4:7-8. And we are taught what this love looks like, Love is patient and is kind. Love does not envy. Love does not brag, is not proud, does not behave itself inappropriately, does not seek its own way, is not provoked, takes no account of evil, does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth, bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things 1 Corinthians 13:4-7. This is the nobility and compassion and gentleness you are seeking, which is the fruit of the Spirit in us, love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness, and self-control Galatians 5:22-23.
We also affirm your commitment to abstaining from sex and from the desires of the flesh outside of marriage, for this is the will of God and is holy in His sight. For this is the will of God, your sanctification, that you abstain from sexual immorality, that each one of you know how to control his own body in sanctification and honor 1 Thessalonians 4:3-4. Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body 1 Corinthians 6:18. And we are reminded that marriage is to be held in honor, Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled, but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers Hebrews 13:4. Therefore to seek true and pure love is to seek a love that honors God within the sanctity of marriage as a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman, and we encourage you to pursue courtship with the goal of marriage to another Christian believer who shares your faith, for we are not to be unequally yoked with unbelievers 2 Corinthians 6:14, but to seek first God's Kingdom and His righteousness Matthew 6:33 and trust Him to provide a godly spouse if it is His will for your life.
We pray together for you now.
Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Yeshua, Jesus Christ Your Son, and we thank You for this heart that desires to do Your will and to know pure and true love as You define it. We ask that You purify and strengthen our dear one in faith, that You fill him with Your love and teach him to walk in Your ways. Grant him grace to continue to abstain from all sexual immorality and to keep his body as a temple of Your Holy Spirit, in sanctification and honor. Cultivate in him the nobility, compassion and gentleness that comes from Your Spirit, that he may love as You love. Lead him according to Your perfect will, and if it is Your will for him to be married, we pray You will bring into his life a godly spouse, a believing woman who loves You above all and who will walk with him in unity and purity toward a marriage that honors You. Help him to not be conformed to this world, but to be transformed by the renewing of his mind, that he may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God Romans 12:2. Draw him into deeper unity with You, for You are love, and in You alone is true love found and perfected. Keep him steadfast in prayer and in faith in Christ, trusting that You will complete the good work You have begun in him. In the name of Jesus our Lord and Savior we pray, amen.
