We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting you up in prayer as you face this troubling throat swelling and difficulty breathing. The Word of God assures us that "the prayer of faith will heal the sick, and the Lord will raise him up" (James 5:15). We stand on this promise, believing that our Lord Jesus Christ, who healed the blind, the lame, and the afflicted, is fully able to bring healing to your body.
Father in Heaven, we ask You to touch this dear one’s throat with Your healing hand. Reduce the swelling, ease the pain, and restore clear breathing. You are the Great Physician, and nothing is too difficult for You. We declare Your Word over this situation: "He sent His word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions" (Psalm 107:20). Let Your healing virtue flow through every cell, tissue, and muscle in this throat, bringing complete restoration.
We also pray for peace to guard this heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Fear and anxiety can weigh heavily when breathing is difficult, but we trust that You are in control. Remind this one that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who have a contrite spirit (Psalm 34:18). Strengthen faith, Lord, and let hope arise even in this trial.
We rebuke any spirit of infirmity or affliction in the mighty name of Jesus. The enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We declare that this sickness has no place here—it must leave now, in Jesus’ name!
If medical attention is needed, we pray for wisdom for doctors and nurses, that they would be guided by Your hand. But above all, we trust in Your power to heal, whether through medicine or by Your miraculous touch.
Continue to seek the Lord in this time, drawing near to Him so He may draw near to you (James 4:8). Spend time in His Word, for it is life to those who find it and health to all their flesh (Proverbs 4:22). Let worship and thanksgiving fill your heart, even before the answer comes, for our God is faithful.
We pray all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, the name above every name, the One through whom all healing flows. Amen.
