We lift you up before the Lord, knowing that He is the giver of all wisdom, understanding, and ability. The desire to communicate effectively in English for your work in an international organization is a noble one, and we trust that God will equip you as you seek His help. The Bible reminds us in James 1:5, *"If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him."* This promise extends to the skills and abilities we need to fulfill our callings.
We also recall the account of the Tower of Babel in Genesis 11, where God confused the languages of the people. Yet, in Acts 2, we see the Holy Spirit enabling the disciples to speak in various tongues so that all could hear the Gospel in their own language. While this was a miraculous sign for the spread of the Gospel, it shows us that God is sovereign over language and communication. He can open doors for you to learn and speak English fluently, just as He has called you to serve in this international role.
However, we must also encourage you to put in the effort to study and practice, trusting that God will bless your diligence. Proverbs 16:3 tells us, *"Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed."* As you commit this goal to Him, He will guide and strengthen you. Colossians 3:23 further reminds us, *"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men."* Your work is an opportunity to glorify God, and He will honor your faithfulness.
Let us pray together for you:
Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother/sister who seeks fluency in the English language. Lord, You are the God of all understanding, and nothing is too difficult for You. We ask that You grant them the ability to learn quickly, retain what they study, and speak with clarity and confidence. Open doors for them to practice and grow in their language skills, and surround them with people who can encourage and help them.
Father, we also pray that You would use their work in this international organization for Your glory. May they be a light in their workplace, reflecting Your love, wisdom, and integrity. Give them favor with their colleagues and superiors, and may their words—whether in meetings, emails, or conversations—be seasoned with grace and truth.
We rebuke any fear, anxiety, or discouragement that may arise in this journey. Your Word tells us in 2 Timothy 1:7, *"For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control."* Fill them with Your peace and confidence as they step out in faith.
Finally, Lord, we pray that through this process, they would draw closer to You, trusting in Your provision and timing. May their heart be fixed on You, knowing that You are their strength and their portion forever.
We ask all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who makes all things possible. Amen.
We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in this endeavor. Keep praying in the name of Jesus, for it is through Him that we have access to the Father (John 14:13-14). If you haven’t already, spend time in His Word daily, and ask the Holy Spirit to guide and teach you. He is your Helper, and He will never leave you.
May the Lord bless you abundantly as you trust in Him!
