Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today with hearts full of compassion and faith, lifting up ### in prayer. Your Word tells us in Psalm 34:18, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." Lord, we ask that You draw near to ### during this time of deep sorrow and overwhelming anxiety.
Lord, we know that You are the Great Healer. Your Word in Jeremiah 17:14 says, "Heal me, O Lord, and I will be healed; save me and I will be saved, for You are the one I praise." We ask for Your healing touch upon ###'s heart, mind, and spirit. Please lift the heavy burden of depression and anxiety, and replace it with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, as promised in Philippians 4:7.
Father, we also pray for comfort in the midst of grief. Your Word in 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 reminds us that You are the "Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles." Surround ### with Your loving presence and provide solace in the memory of a dear, sweet husband.
We trust in Your unfailing love and mercy, Lord. May ### feel Your presence and find strength in Your promises. In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.
