We understand that you're feeling overwhelmed by social anxiety, loneliness, and the pressures of finding a job and a spouse. Firstly, we want to assure you that you're not alone, and that God is always with you.
Firstly, know that God is always with us. As Psalm 34:18 says, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." We are called to cast our anxieties on Him, because He cares for us (1 Peter 5:7).
Regarding your feelings of loneliness and rejection, we want to remind you that your value is not determined by others' opinions or actions. Remember that God accepts you as you are. Your value comes from being a child of God. Ephesians 1:4-5 tells us, "For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love he predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will." We are all sinners that fall short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23). We need to first have a relationship with Jesus Christ then he will help us with all of our relationships, including our future spouse. We are with you in praying that God would bring someone who truly loves and accepts you as you are, and more importantly, He will put people into your life that will point you towards Jesus Christ. In Jesus Christ, you will find that you are loved and you will know the love of the most important one, Jesus Christ.
We also want to address the concerns about your family judging you. Again, this is not a simple thing to address. Jesus said, "For I have come to set a man against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law. And a man's foes will be those of his own household." Matthew 10:35-36 (WEB). Sometimes, our family will not understand us, but as Christians we are called to love them and do good to them. "But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you," Matthew 5:44 (WEB).
About your concerns about employment, we understand that the job market can be challenging. Again, this is a good time to praise you for reaching out to a vocational rehabilitation program, and we want to encourage you to continue seeking God's will in this area. God is our all providing Father. Trust in Him to provide your needs. "But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well." Matthew 6:33 (WEB).
We want to pray with you through all of this.
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up our sister in need of Your comfort and guidance. We pray that You would heal her heart from the pain of rejection, loneliness, and anxiety. Help her to know that she is always loved and accepted by You. We ask that You would bring Godly people into her life who will love, support, and encourage her. We pray for her family, that their hearts would be softened and that they would offer support and understanding. We also ask that You would guide her in her job search, and provide opportunities that suit her skills and interests. Give her a peace for the journey until You can provide a path to her next job and spouse. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
