Please pray for me I am losing my belief and I have became insecure

We hear the honesty in your heart as you share that you are losing your belief, feeling insecure, and falling into lust, and we join with you now to seek our Father together in Jesus' name.

We want to gently correct an important understanding, that while God does test and refine our faith, He does not tempt us to sin. Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted by God, for God can't be tempted by evil, and he himself tempts no one. James 1:13. What you are feeling as temptation comes from the flesh and the enemy, but God in His faithfulness will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it. 1 Corinthians 10:13. Consider it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. James 1:2-3. God allows trials to strengthen us, not to cause us to fall.

We also notice your request does not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to lovingly remind you that it is only through Him that we have access to God and assurance of salvation. There is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6. If you have not already, we encourage you to place your full trust in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, confessing Him as Lord, for if we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9.

Your struggle with insecurity and wavering belief is common to many believers, and God is not distant in those moments. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Psalm 34:18. He says, Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Isaiah 41:10. For God didn't give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. 2 Timothy 1:7. We encourage you to look away from your own feelings and look to Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith. Hebrews 12:2. Faith can feel small like a mustard seed, but even that is enough when placed in our great God, and He has promised that his grace is sufficient for you, for his power is made perfect in weakness. 2 Corinthians 12:9.

We must also lovingly rebuke and address the sin of lust, because God calls us to holiness. Lust is not harmless, it wars against the soul and, if entertained, gives birth to sin. Each man is tempted when he is drawn away by his own lust and enticed. Then the lust, when it has conceived, bears sin. James 1:14-15. We are commanded to flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. 1 Corinthians 6:18. God designed sexual intimacy as a holy gift to be enjoyed only within the lifelong marriage covenant between one man and one woman, and any sexual thought or act outside of that, including lust, pornography, or fornication, is sin that needs to be confessed and forsaken. We are to walk by the Spirit, and we won't fulfill the lust of the flesh. Galatians 5:16. And we are to watch and pray, that we don't enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak. Matthew 26:41.

There is hope and deliverance. God does not condemn you without a way out, He invites you to come boldly to His throne of grace. For we don't have a high priest who can't be touched with the feeling of our infirmities, but one who has been in all points tempted like we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore draw near with boldness to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy, and may find grace for help in time of need. Hebrews 4:15-16.

We pray together for you now.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we lift up this dear one to You. We ask that You forgive us for our sins and cleanse us as we confess our lust and our unbelief before You. Lord, strengthen wavering faith, remind this heart that You are faithful even when we feel faithless, and replace insecurity with the security of being Your child, chosen and loved. Help us to see our identity not in feelings or failures but in Christ. We ask for deliverance from lust, give power to flee temptation, to make a covenant with our eyes, to walk by Your Spirit and not fulfill the desires of the flesh. Fill us with Your Holy Spirit, renew our mind through Your Word daily, and lead us to godly fellowship and accountability where we can walk in the light. When trials come, give endurance and joy, and make a clear way of escape from every temptation. We trust You to keep us from stumbling and to present us faultless before Your presence with great joy. Jude 1:24. We ask all this in the mighty and saving name of Jesus, Amen.

We encourage you to stay daily in the Word, to pray continually even when you do not feel like it, to fast from sources that feed lust, and to seek a mature Christian believer or pastor for accountability and prayer. God is not finished with you, He who began a good work in you will complete it.

We hear the weight in what you shared. Losing your footing in belief while feeling insecure and tested is exhausting, and then to feel defeated by lust on top of it can make you wonder where you stand with God.

We want you to know you are not alone in this kind of struggle. Many believers go through seasons where faith feels more like questions and feelings than confidence, often with a lot of what if thoughts that make everything feel shaky. That kind of emotional doubt is common and painful, and it does not automatically mean you have walked away from God. And wanting to be free from lust while still falling into it is a real battle, not a sign you are beyond help.

One steady step that helps many is not trying to fight both battles alone in your head. Would you consider choosing one trusted, same sex believer or pastor this week to be honest with about where your faith feels thin and where temptation hits hardest, and asking if you can check in regularly. Also taking a practical look at what tends to trigger the pattern and removing that access when you are clear headed can make the moment of temptation less overwhelming.

We are praying for you and will keep praying.

Father, we lift our brother to You in Jesus name. You see his insecurity and his desire to hold onto belief. Give him Your nearness when You feel distant, steady his heart, and give him strength to turn from what entangles him. Lead him to honest fellowship and renew his confidence in Your goodness and mercy. Amen.

Your honest confession has been heard and it is taken to the throne of grace, for you speak of what many of the Lord's people have felt, the trial of your faith. It is a great thing to be able to speak of your faith at all, for all men have not faith, and where faith is found it is the token of divine favor. And if God has given you a faith which is precious, it must have its due measure of trial, and if it is to become more precious it has yet more trials to endure. Peter says, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations, for God in His wisdom will give faith what faith needs. Do not be anxious to enter into trial, and do not fret if temptation does not come just now, yet when it comes, know that your faith will be tried individually. It is not quite so pleasant to study alone the trial of your faith, but it is needful.

You say you are losing belief and have become insecure, and that you doubt. Our Lord gently censures little faith when He says, O thou of little faith, why didst thou doubt. Little faith forgets her Lord and mixes her confidences, too bold one day and too timid another. Faith is spiritual common sense, and the two things are inconsistent with each other. Why wavering faith in an unwavering promise, why weak belief in a strong Christ. Between the very lowest degree of faith and unbelief there is a great gulf, and little faith may increase exceedingly until it ripens into full assurance. The essence of faith lies not only in knowing that Christ is there and that He is strong, but in dropping down into His arms. Have you that faith, for while with faith men are saved, without it men are damned. When doubt assails you, remember that to doubt is worse than trial. I had sooner suffer any affliction than be left to question the gospel or my own interest in it. Take up above all the shield of faith, for faith protects the whole man. When the assault comes against the head to make you doubt those things which are verily received among us, and when temptation comes against the heart to make you love the world, faith holds up thoughts of the future and quenches the fiery darts of the wicked. It not only receives the dart but takes away its sting and quenches the fire.

You also confess that you keep falling into lust, and this must be dealt with plainly and tenderly. The same faith which saves the soul is a sanctifying faith. Did Rahab continue a harlot after she had faith, no, she did not. What, faith, didst thou fight with hideous lust, and didst thou overcome it, yes, for that is one of faith's greatest triumphs. That faith which allows a man to think lightly of past sin has the faith of devils and not the faith of God's elect. Faith and repentance are twins, born at the same time, and they come into the soul together. Faith means trust in Christ, and repentance means a true turning from sin with abhorrence of it. Such men as have faith without repentance are liars, they have not the faith which will save the soul. Therefore you must not make peace with this sin. The Lord has ordained that sex and living together belong within the lifelong covenant of marriage between one man and one woman, and any indulgence outside of it is sin against God and must be repented of and forsaken. We cannot ask God to bless what He calls sin, but we can and do ask Him to forgive it for Christ's sake and to give you power to put it to death.

You say God is testing you. Know this, that all temptation even if it be temptation from Satan is in fact trial from God, yet temptation in itself is a thing very dangerous, and it is right for the Christian to pray, Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. The benefit which God brings out of our being led into temptation is very great, for by these trials hypocrites are discovered as the rough March wind snaps the rotten boughs from the tree, the fault being not in the wind but in the decayed branch, but the true branch is purged and made stronger. Still you must not for any reason desire to be afflicted or tried, but must pray daily, Lord, temper the wind to the shorn lamb, put not the little boat upon the rough billows. And never go into temptation. The man who prays Lead us not into temptation and then goes into it is a liar before God. If you would be kept, you must watch and keep out of the way of the snare, making no provision for the flesh, fleeing youthful lusts, and crying for grace that you may not be left to your own weakness.

Let me pray for you now as you have asked.

O Lord, look upon this tried one whose faith is as smoking flax and whose heart is sore beset. Increase his faith, for Thou canst make little faith become great faith that prays and prevails. Forgive him through the blood of Jesus Christ alone, for there is no other name under heaven whereby we must be saved. Grant him repentance that is inseparable from true faith, that he may hate the sin he once loved and turn from lust with full purpose of heart. Put upon him the shield of faith that he may quench every fiery dart. Lead him not into temptation, but deliver him from evil, and spare him from too great trials lest they overcome his patience and steadfastness. Hold Thou him up, for when Thou holdest him he shall stand, and restore unto him the joy of Thy salvation. Let his faith be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Take this to heart, keep close to Christ, keep close to His Word, keep out of the place of temptation, and tell your struggle to a faithful pastor or brother who can watch with you and pray with you, for the trial of your faith, though it be tried with fire, is precious in the sight of God.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Thank you for sharing your struggle so honestly. We are praying for you, and we thank God that you have brought this into the light instead of hiding it.

Losing your sense of belief and feeling insecure is painful, and it is also a place where faith is called to grow. Scripture says the just shall live by faith, and faith is the evidence of things not seen. Faith does not mean you will see or feel everything clearly right now. It means trusting what God has said is true even when your feelings waver and circumstances are hard. Doubt comes when we take our eyes off Christ, like Peter who began to sink not because the wind was too strong but because his faith became weak. When faith is steadfast as a shield before the whole body, it guards the heart. Ask God to strengthen that shield in you, to help you wait on Him and to trust that He is faithful even when you feel weak.

You mentioned that God is testing you and that you keep falling into lust. The Scripture says no temptation has taken you except what is common to man, and God is faithful. He will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able to bear, but with the temptation He will also make the way of escape so that you may be able to endure it. That means there is always a way out provided by Him, even if it requires turning away quickly, fleeing the situation, and calling on Him for help. Lust often grows from serving the desires of the body, from vainglory, or from wanting more than God has given, and those desires can overthrow us if we entertain them. God has not left you without help. He gives patience and He brings release, and He calls you to take the escape He provides.

God calls us to purity because He loves us and designed sex to belong within the lifelong covenant of marriage between one man and one woman. Anything outside of that is not His will for you, and it will not bring the security you are looking for. There is forgiveness and cleansing only through Jesus Christ. You are not justified by your own efforts or by keeping the law perfectly, for all have sinned, but you are justified by faith in Christ. Turn to Him again in repentance, confess your sin honestly, and trust that His blood covers you and His Spirit will help you walk in a new way.

We are praying that God will increase your faith, that He will quiet your insecurity with His faithful love, and that He will show you clearly the way of escape each time temptation comes so you can take it. We pray that you will fix your eyes on Jesus, live by faith day by day, and find strength to endure. If you continue to struggle, seek fellowship with faithful believers and with a pastor who can walk with you, encourage you, and hold you accountable in love.

May the Lord grant you a firm faith, a clean heart, and peace in knowing that He is with you and will not forsake those who trust in His Son.

Your honesty in sharing this struggle is important and God sees it. Feeling your belief grow weak and feeling insecure while facing repeated temptation is painful, and many believers have walked through similar seasons.

Scripture teaches that testing has a purpose. It proves what kind of faith we have, because it is easy to deceive ourselves and say we believe while our lives do not show it. The testing of faith is meant to develop endurance and patience, especially patience in waiting on God, which is where we often fail. The Bible calls the person who endures through testing blessed, because the trial shows the faith to be genuine.

It is also important to understand the difference between temptation and sin. Temptation is common to everyone and even Jesus was tempted, yet without sin. You have not sinned simply because you were tempted. Sin comes when desire is allowed to conceive and you choose to follow it and give in to what the flesh wants. Lust is never truly satisfied by indulging it. The only way to deal with it is to starve it, not feed it. God designed sexual intimacy to belong only within marriage as a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman, and anything outside of that is not for us to pursue or to ask Him to bless.

Insecurity and wavering faith can feel overwhelming, like being tossed by waves. God invites you to ask Him for wisdom and help with a steady trust, not wavering back and forth. Your standing with God does not rest on how strong you feel or how well you perform. You are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, and that faith itself is a gift from God. God counts you righteous because of simple trust in the finished work of Jesus on the cross, not because of your own works. At the same time, a genuine faith will show itself in how you live. Saying you have faith is not enough if there is no change. True faith works together with obedience and is seen in the choices you make, because faith must come first and then it naturally moves you to act in line with what you believe.

Practically, Scripture calls you to take a position of faith and consider your old self dead with Christ and your new life hidden with Him. Temptation will still come, often through the desires of the flesh, the desires of the eyes, or pride, but you do not have to yield. You can answer temptation with the Word of God, just as Jesus answered with what is written. Fill your heart with Scripture and use it as your defense.

Do not be crushed when you stumble. Even men in the Bible who are remembered for great faith had moments when their faith faltered and they failed. That does not excuse sin, but it shows that lapses do not have to be the end of your story. God is patient and He gives faith to keep going.

Praying for you that God will strengthen your faith, give you endurance in this testing, and help you turn away from lust and walk in purity. Ask Him to help you starve what feeds the flesh and to nourish what builds faith, to rest fully in Jesus alone for salvation, and to show the reality of your faith in a changed life day by day. He is able to keep you and to make your faith genuine and steadfast as you keep looking to Him.
