Please pray for me and with me

MSC Prayers

Humble Servant of All
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ. After being backslidden for more than 40 years, I'm rededicated my life to Jesus Christ and I'm seeking to do His Will. I'm afraid today I'm feeling empty. Please pray for me. May God's Will Be Done in my life and in the lives of all of my Brothers and Sisters in Christ. Please pray for all of our family members, friends, loved ones, acquaintances, associates, colleagues, and enemies too. I ask this in Jesus' Precious and Holy Name. Amen.

We rejoice with you and thank God for His mercy in bringing you back to Himself after so many years, and we join with you in seeking His will together in Jesus' name. What you have done in rededicating your life to Jesus Christ is the most important decision anyone can make, and heaven rejoices over one sinner who repents. There is no sin too great and no time too long for His grace to restore.

We understand that feeling of emptiness even after returning to the Lord. It does not mean He has left you or that your rededication was not real. Often after we return, the Lord lovingly empties us of what cannot satisfy so that He can fill us with Himself. He promises in Ezekiel 36:26 that He will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you, and in Psalm 51:10 we pray with you, Create in me a clean heart, O God. Renew a right spirit within me. And Psalm 51:12 reminds us to ask Him to restore to us the joy of His salvation.

Be assured that if you have confessed your sins to Him, you are forgiven and cleansed. 1 John 1:9 says If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Romans 8:1 declares There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus. The forty years that were lost are not beyond His redemption, for He says in Joel 2:25 I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten. And we cling to Philippians 1:6 being confident of this very thing, that he who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.

That emptiness you feel today is an invitation to draw nearer. Jesus said in Matthew 11:28 Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. And Jeremiah 29:13 promises You will seek me, and find me, when you search for me with all your heart. We encourage you to abide daily in His Word, to pray continually, to fellowship with other believers who will encourage you in the faith, and to walk by the Holy Spirit who now dwells in you to fill that empty place with His presence and peace. Do not trust your feelings alone, but trust His faithful Word.

We also thank you for your beautiful heart to pray for others, even for enemies, which honors the Lord. Jesus taught us in Matthew 5:44 love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you.

Let us pray together.

Father in heaven, we thank You for Your unfailing love and for drawing our dear brother back to Yourself through Jesus Christ Your Son. We praise You that though sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow, as You promise in Isaiah 1:18. We ask You to forgive all the years of wandering and to wash him clean by the blood of Jesus. Fill this emptiness today with Your Holy Spirit, with Your peace that surpasses understanding, and with the joy of Your salvation. Renew his mind through Your Word and strengthen him to do Your will day by day. Help him to grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior. We pray Your perfect will be done in his life, and we lift up all of his family members, friends, loved ones, acquaintances, associates, colleagues, and even his enemies before Your throne. Draw each one to Yourself, save those who do not yet know You, and encourage those who do. Let Your will be done in all their lives as it is in heaven. We thank You that we can come boldly to You only through Jesus, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved. Keep him close, guard him from the enemy, and complete the good work You have begun in him. We ask all this in the precious and holy name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

We are grateful you shared this with us. Turning back to Jesus after more than forty years is a significant and courageous step, and we rejoice with you in it. It makes sense that you would feel empty right now, and that feeling does not mean you have failed or that God has left you.

One thing that helps many in this season is to see renewal less as trying hard in a moment and more as training over time. Like preparing for a marathon, small steady practices shape us in ways one intense effort cannot. Growth is rarely a straight line. It often moves in loops where we revisit the same struggles but with a little more depth, and fruit like peace and assurance grows slowly as we stay with the Lord.

If it would help, consider one simple and sustainable rhythm for the coming week. Set aside a few unhurried minutes each morning to pray honestly about how you feel and to listen as you read Scripture, and reach out to one pastor or trusted believer to walk with you regularly. Having fellowship in these early days can steady you when loneliness rises.

Father, we bring our brother before You with thanksgiving for his return to You. Meet him in this emptiness with Your nearness and quiet assurance. Guide him day by day as he seeks Your will, and draw his family, friends, loved ones and even those who have opposed him into Your care and mercy. Keep him close to You and to Your people. In Jesus' precious and holy name, Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

God, please forever honor this prayer over each of our lives. God Thank You. Amen, so be it by faith, and by faith, it is so. Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We have heard your request with thanksgiving to God, for it is a great mercy that after more than forty years of wandering, the Lord has turned your heart again to seek Him and to desire His will. As surely as God's will is the axle of the universe and the great heart of providence, so we may rest assured that He is King, working all things after the counsel of His own will, and that salvation is of His will. You did not return of yourself alone, for though the will of man is not ignored, the work of the Spirit, which is the effect of the will of God, is to change the human will and to make men willing in the day of God's power, working in them to will to do of His good pleasure.

You say you feel empty even as you have rededicated your life to Jesus Christ. Do not faint at this, for this is the common experience of God's people. There cannot be any point of contact between absolute Deity and fallen humanity except through Jesus Christ, the appointed Mediator, and through Him alone. In Him there is peace, but you will find that the flesh still strives against the spirit and the spirit against the flesh. You will never be satisfied till you are perfect, and that will be when you wake up in your Lord's likeness. Till then sin and emptiness will at times vex you, and the old corruption will rise to harass you. This does not prove that God has cast you off, for will the Lord cast off forever, and will He be favorable no more. His promise may tarry but it never fails.

Therefore feed upon Christ and upon His Word. It is written, He that comes to Me I will in no wise cast out, and let him that is thirsty come, and whoever will let him take the Water of Life freely. This is to eat, to appropriate Christ to yourself. But after eating there must be digestion, a daily receiving and inwardly digesting of the truth, till Christ and you are one and none shall be able to separate you from Him. You will find that there is more left than you have taken, and the grass grows deeper as you feed more ravenously upon it. God puts no reserve as to time. Let your soul delight itself in fatness, and the more you feed on His Word, the more you will be strengthened to work for the good of others and to walk in His statutes.

You have prayed, may God's will be done, and in this you pray well. This is the time when you will faint unless you believe to see the goodness of the Lord even here and now. You must feel that in any case God's will must be done, and you must still continue to pray, for you do not know what God's will is, but you must pray with resignation after your Savior's perfect model in the garden, Nevertheless not as I will, but as You will. One thing have you desired of the Lord, that will you seek after, and that one thing carried into the practice of daily life will keep you.

We join our prayers with yours. We pray that the Lord will keep you, establish you, and cause you to persevere year after year, holding fast to Christ who has said that you shall have peace if you believe on Him and He will not run back from that word. We pray that He will give you a new heart and put His Spirit within you to cause you to walk in His ways. We pray also as you have asked for all your family members, friends, loved ones, acquaintances, associates, colleagues and even for your enemies, that God in His mercy would have mercy on whom He will have mercy, and would bring many to say, You are my God, through Jesus Christ our only hope. May He bestow upon you all good things and withhold no good thing from them that walk uprightly, and may you be filled with a happy expectancy of His goodness.

We commend you to Him who is able to keep you from falling, trusting that He who has begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ. Amen.

We thank God with you for His great mercy in bringing you back to Himself after so many years away. Your rededication is a cause for rejoicing in heaven, and we rejoice with you here. Do not be discouraged because you feel empty today. That feeling is not a sign that God has left you, but a reminder that the heart must be filled with Christ after it has been cleansed.

Scripture warns us that when an unclean spirit leaves a person, it finds the house empty and swept, and if it remains empty it returns with worse evils. The answer is not to leave the house empty. Fill it daily with prayer, with hearing the word of God, with fellowship with faithful believers, and with works of love and repentance. God has opened the door for you today, and His voice says, Today if you hear His voice, do not harden your heart. Today is the day to draw near.

Do not let fear keep you idle. It is better to labor with confidence in God's grace than to sit in fear and do nothing. God is merciful and ready to help, and He gives strength to those who turn to Him and do their part with diligence and humility. Pray not to be seen by others, but in secret to your Father who sees in secret and rewards openly. He does not desire empty words but a true heart.

We pray with you and for you:

Heavenly Father, we thank You for drawing our brother back to Your Son Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have salvation. We ask You to fill his emptiness with Your Holy Spirit, with Your peace and Your presence. Strengthen him to walk in Your will each day, to grow in faith, and to persevere. Let Your will be done in his life. We lift up also his family members, friends, loved ones, acquaintances, associates, colleagues, and even his enemies, that You would draw each one to Yourself, have mercy upon them, and lead them to know Jesus Christ. Keep him steadfast, guard him from returning to old ways, and make his latter state better than the first. We ask this in the precious and holy name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Rejoicing with you over your return to the Lord after so many years away is the right place to begin. Scripture shows God calling to those who have turned aside and been drawn after the world, saying return. He declares that He is merciful and will not keep His anger forever. What He asks is simple and honest, that we acknowledge our sin before Him. You have done that in turning your heart back to Jesus Christ, and His promise is to receive you.

The Lord also says to backsliding children, I am married to you. Even when His people have wandered and forgotten Him and gone after other loves, whether pleasure or money or power or other desires, His covenant love does not let go. It pursues and remains. He still calls you His own. He speaks of gathering a remnant, one from a city and two from a family, to bring them to Himself, and of giving shepherds after His own heart who will feed His people with knowledge and understanding of Himself. That is the kind of feeding you need now, not counsel that only helps with human relationships, but teaching that helps you know God and walk with Him, seeking first His kingdom.

The emptiness you feel today is not strange. God created the human heart with a deep void that only He can fill, so that we would seek Him to find true meaning and fulfillment. To try to fill that place with the things of the world only makes the emptiness greater. We walk after empty things and become empty ourselves. Even when we try to make ourselves beautiful with outward adornment, it is in vain if the heart is far from God, because those other lovers cannot satisfy and will finally fail us. The answer is not to strive harder in your own strength, but to be filled with the knowledge of God through His Word and to walk after the Spirit, denying self to follow Jesus.

You asked that God's will be done, and that is the truest way to pray. The purpose of prayer is never to bend God to our will, but to see His will accomplished. Often we do not know what His particular will is in a given situation, and that is why we come humbly and say, Father, let Your will be done in my life and in the lives of others. His love for you in Christ is constant and eternal. It is not caused by anything in you, but flows from His own nature. Because of that, nothing in the present or the future, no height or depth or any created thing, can separate you from His love.

So let us pray together for you and for all those you carried on your heart.

Father, thank You for Your mercy that does not keep anger forever and for Your stubborn love that has pursued this dear one and brought him back to Yourself. Thank You that You remain faithful as a husband to Your people and that You receive all who acknowledge their sin and turn to Jesus. Fill the emptiness that is felt today with Yourself. Feed this heart with the knowledge and understanding of who You are through Your Word and by Your Spirit. Teach him to walk after the Spirit and to seek Your kingdom first. Let Your will be done in his life. Let Your will be done also in the lives of his family members, friends, loved ones, acquaintances, colleagues, and even enemies, that all might come to know Jesus and be kept in Your love from which nothing can separate us. Heal what has been torn and bind up what has been wounded, and cause this life to be revived and to live in Your sight. In the precious and holy name of Jesus, Amen.
