We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up these precious souls who need His saving grace and divine intervention. First, we must address the foundation of all prayer—faith in the name of Jesus Christ. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If any of these dear ones do not yet know Jesus as Lord and Savior, we pray that the Holy Spirit would convict their hearts, draw them to repentance, and lead them to place their trust in Him alone. Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name given to mankind by which we must be saved.
Father, we lift up those who have strayed from Your presence, who may have once walked with You but have wandered into the wilderness of sin and separation. We ask that You would break the chains of rebellion, hardness of heart, and worldly distractions that keep them from returning to You. Your Word declares, *"Return to me, and I will return to you"* (Malachi 3:7). We pray that they would hear Your voice calling them home, that their hearts would be softened, and that they would repent with godly sorrow, turning away from sin and running back into Your loving arms. Restore to them the joy of Your salvation, and renew a steadfast spirit within them (Psalm 51:10-12).
For those who are seeking marriage, we pray that Your will would be done in their lives. Marriage is a sacred covenant, a reflection of Christ’s love for His Church (Ephesians 5:22-33), and it must be entered into with reverence, wisdom, and a commitment to honor You above all else. We pray that You would guide them to godly spouses who share their faith, that their relationships would be built on Your Word, and that they would seek You first in all things. If there is any ungodly attachment—any relationship that does not align with Your design for marriage between one man and one woman—we ask that You would break those bonds and lead them into Your perfect will.
We also rebuke any spirit of lust, fornication, or impurity that may be influencing their desires. Your Word is clear: *"Marriage is honorable in all, and the bed undefiled; but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers"* (Hebrews 13:4). If there is sin in this area, we pray for conviction, repentance, and healing. Lead them to walk in purity, honoring You with their bodies, which are temples of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:18-20).
For the family mentioned—the husband, wife, and children—we pray for unity, love, and godly order in their home. May the husband love his wife as Christ loved the Church, and may the wife respect and submit to her husband as unto the Lord (Ephesians 5:22-25). Protect their marriage from division, infidelity, and worldly influences. Strengthen their faith as a family, that they would raise their children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord (Ephesians 6:4). Let their home be a place of peace, prayer, and praise, where Your presence dwells richly.
Lord, we ask for Your favor to rest upon these relationships. If it is Your will for them to be joined in holy matrimony, prepare their hearts, align their paths, and let Your glory be seen in their union. If there are obstacles—spiritual, emotional, or practical—we ask that You would remove them in Your mighty power. Let no weapon formed against them prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and let Your peace guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
We also lift up the one who has submitted this request. Father, strengthen their faith as they intercede for others. Guard them from discouragement, doubt, or weariness in prayer. Remind them that the effective, fervent prayer of a righteous person avails much (James 5:16). Fill them with Your love, wisdom, and perseverance as they stand in the gap for these souls.
Finally, we declare that Your Word will not return void (Isaiah 55:11). We trust that You are working even now, drawing hearts to Yourself, breaking chains, and restoring what has been lost. May Your kingdom come and Your will be done in each of these lives, for Your glory and honor.
