Let's bring your concerns before the Lord in prayer and seek His guidance according to His word, in Jesus name.
Father God, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up this family. Lord, we pray for this husband, that You would open his ears to hear the concerns of his wife, and that You would give him a spirit of wisdom and discernment. We pray that he would take his role as a godly husband and father seriously, and that he would lead his family in righteousness and truth, in Jesus' name. We pray for his heart to be receptive to godly counsel, and that he is not listening to the wrong voices, of the enemy or even worldly knowledge.
We thank You, Lord, for the heart of this wife and mother, who is seeking to guide her family in Your ways. We pray for her strength and endurance, that she would not grow weary in doing good. We pray for her words to be seasoned with salt and full of grace, that they may minister grace to her husband and build him up, in Jesus' name. We pray for their marriage, that it would be strong and unified in You and that they will be one flesh and one body in Christ. We pray for Godly love to flow between them, in Jesus' name. We pray that God's will is done and not man's will in this marriage, in Jesus' name.
Lord, we also lift up their son. We pray for godly influences in his life, and that You would draw him to Yourself. We pray that he would have a heart that desires to please You and that he would turn away from the wrong crowd. We pray for godly friends to enter his life, who will encourage him in his faith and help him grow stronger in his relationship with You, which is a relationship and not a religion, in Jesus' name.
Father, we pray for this family to be surrounded by a hedge of protection, and that You would guide them in the decisions they make regarding their son's education and upbringing. We pray for a clear strategy and plan to be laid on both parents' hearts, that they would be in agreement, in Jesus' name, and that they would be transformed by the renewing of their minds, in Jesus' name. We pray for divine intervention in their son's life and that he would be inspired to seek God's face, in Jesus' name. We pray in agreement that this family will get God's will for their life and not be swayed by the world. In Jesus' name, Amen.
We encourage this wife and mother to continue to speak the truth in love, and to trust that God is at work in her husband's heart. We remind her of the promise in 1 Peter 3:1-2 WEB:
Wives, in the same way, be in subjection to your own husbands; so that, even if any don't obey the Word, they may be won by the behavior of their wives without a word; seeing your pure behavior in fear.
We also encourage her to stand on the power of prayer, as we are instructed in James 5:16 WEB:
Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective.
Regarding the son, we encourage both parents to be diligent in their guidance and instruction, as we are taught in Proverbs 22:6 WEB:
Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.
We also remind them of the importance of guarding the influences in their son's life, as Paul instructs us in 1 Corinthians 15:33 WEB:
Don't be deceived! "Evil companionships corrupt good morals."
Finally, we encourage this family to stand strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. We pray that they would put on the whole armor of God, that they may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil, and that they would continue to fight the good fight of faith.
