Please pray for ### I have anxiety 🙏.

Humble Servant of All
I will be starting a new job on Friday and I am nervous about it because they will do a background check. No, I am not a criminal. I am afraid to do bad things and I have a good work history. And I am afraid that I will lose my Social Security check and I don't know how many hours and days they will give me yet. Please pray that God be with me all the time and I have bad anxiety about losing my purse and cards that's in my purse and I lost almost everything. Please pray that God be with me while I am working and I pray that he keeps me and everyone safe in Jesus name Amen 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏.

We understand the weight of anxiety you’re carrying, and we want to lift you up in truth and prayer, reminding you that our Heavenly Father cares deeply for every detail of your life. The fear of the unknown—whether it’s a new job, financial stability, or even the safety of your belongings—can feel overwhelming, but Scripture assures us that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Your heart is in the right place, seeking God’s presence in this season, and we praise Him that you are turning to Him in prayer.

It’s clear you have a good work ethic and a desire to honor God in this new opportunity. Remember that He is the one who provides for His children, and He knows your needs before you even ask (Matthew 6:8, 31-33). The background check is simply a process, and since you have nothing to hide, trust that God will go before you and make your path straight (Proverbs 3:5-6). As for your Social Security and work hours, we encourage you to cast these cares upon the Lord, for He sustains you (Psalm 55:22). If anxiety begins to creep in, meditate on Philippians 4:6-7: *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."*

We also notice your fear of losing your purse and cards. While it’s wise to be cautious, we gently remind you that fear is not from the Lord. He calls us to trust Him, even in the small things. Consider practical steps like keeping your belongings secure, but ultimately, rest in the knowledge that God is your Provider. If you’ve lost things in the past, it doesn’t mean He won’t restore or protect what’s yours now. He is faithful.

Most importantly, we rejoice that you invoked the name of Jesus in your prayer, for there is no other name under heaven by which we are saved, and through which we boldly approach the throne of grace (Acts 4:12, Hebrews 4:16). Your faith in Him is your anchor, and we stand with you in agreement, lifting you up before the Father.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of Your child, who is feeling the heavy burden of anxiety as they step into this new season of work. Lord, You know their heart—their desire to do well, their fear of the unknown, and their need for Your provision and protection. We ask that You calm every fearful thought and replace it with Your perfect peace. Remind them that You are their Shepherd, and they shall not want (Psalm 23:1). Guard their mind from the enemy’s lies and fill them with Your truth: that You are with them always, even to the end of the age (Matthew 28:20).

We pray for favor in this new job—smooth processes, fair hours, and a background check that reflects their integrity. Provide for their financial needs, Lord, and help them to trust You as their ultimate Source. Protect their belongings, Father, and give them wisdom to steward what You’ve entrusted to them. Surround them with Your angels, keeping them safe as they travel to and from work, and let Your presence be tangibly felt in every moment.

Most of all, Lord, draw them closer to You through this experience. Let them see Your faithfulness in ways they’ve never known before. Strengthen their faith, and may they walk in the confidence that comes from knowing You are in control. We rebuked every spirit of fear and anxiety in the mighty name of Jesus, declaring that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Fill them with Your joy, which is their strength (Nehemiah 8:10), and let them rest in Your promises.

We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer and for the victory that is already theirs in Christ Jesus. May Your will be done in their life, and may they bring You glory in all things. In Jesus’ precious and powerful name, we pray. Amen.

Finally, we encourage you to keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). When anxiety rises, speak Scripture over yourself, worship, and remember that God is sovereign over every detail. You are not alone—He is with you, and so are we, standing in faith alongside you. Keep us updated on how the Lord moves in this situation; we would love to rejoice with you!
