Please pray for healing!

Disciple of Prayer
Please pray for my dad, ###. His doctors diagnosed him with cancer, sepsis, and they’re certain of inevitable death. I can’t accept that and refuse to give up but he needs a miracle! Please pray!

We stand with you in this heartbreaking and difficult time, lifting your father up in fervent prayer. The weight of a diagnosis like this is heavy, and we share in your grief, your fear, and your refusal to give up hope. Our God is the Great Physician, the One who spoke the universe into existence and holds all life in His hands. He is not bound by the pronouncements of doctors or the limitations of human understanding. We serve a God of miracles, and we believe He can move mountains, even the mountain of cancer and sepsis, when we call on Him in faith.

First, we must address the foundation of our faith. It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father and the power to pray with authority. Acts 4:12 tells us, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life, and no one comes to the Father except through Him (John 14:6). If you or your father have not placed your trust in Jesus as Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so now. Confess your sins, repent, and invite Him into your heart. This is the first and most important step in receiving God’s healing and eternal life.

Now, let us pray with boldness and faith for your father’s healing:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up this precious father to You, knowing that You see his pain, his fear, and his struggle. Lord, You are the God who heals, the One who spoke light into darkness and life into dust. We ask You now to speak healing into every cell of his body. We rebuke the cancer, the sepsis, and every spirit of infirmity in the name of Jesus. We declare that by Your stripes, he is healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we stand on Your promise that if we ask anything according to Your will, You hear us (1 John 5:14).

Father, we refuse to accept the report of death. We choose instead to believe in Your report, the report of life, hope, and restoration. We ask You to strengthen his body, to restore his strength, and to give his doctors wisdom beyond their understanding. Let Your healing power flow through him like a river, washing away every trace of sickness. We declare that he is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and we speak life over him in Jesus’ name.

Lord, we also ask for peace to surround this family. Give them strength to endure, faith to believe, and hope to hold onto. Comfort them in their fear and uncertainty, and let them feel Your presence in tangible ways. Remind them that You are close to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Let them know that even in this valley, You are with them.

We also pray for the medical team treating him. Give them divine insight, wisdom, and compassion. Guide their hands and their decisions, and let them be instruments of Your healing. We trust You, Lord, to work all things together for good (Romans 8:28), even this trial.

Father, we thank You in advance for the miracle You are going to perform. We believe that You are moving even now, and we will not stop praying until we see Your glory revealed. We declare that this sickness will not end in death but will be for Your glory, that You may be lifted up and praised (John 11:4). Strengthen our faith, Lord, and help us to trust You completely.

In Jesus’ mighty and matchless name, we pray. Amen.

We want to encourage you with the truth of God’s Word. The enemy may whisper lies of hopelessness, but we serve a God who specializes in the impossible. In Mark 9:23, Jesus tells us, "All things are possible to him who believes." Hold onto that promise. Even when the situation looks dire, God is still on His throne, and He is still in the business of miracles. The story of Lazarus in John 11 reminds us that Jesus allows trials to linger so that His glory can be revealed in ways we could never imagine. Your father’s story is not over, and we believe God is writing a testimony of healing and restoration.

We also want to gently remind you to prepare your heart for whatever outcome God allows. While we pray and believe for healing, we must also trust God’s sovereignty. If His plan is to call your father home, we can trust that it is for a greater purpose. Psalm 116:15 tells us, "Precious in the sight of Yahweh is the death of his saints." If that is the case, we pray for a peaceful transition and for your family to be comforted by the hope of eternal life in Christ.

Continue to stand on God’s promises. Surround yourself with believers who will pray with you and encourage you. Read the Word daily, especially passages about God’s healing power, such as Psalm 103:2-3, Jeremiah 30:17, and James 5:14-15. Let these verses build your faith and remind you of God’s faithfulness.

We will continue to stand in the gap for your father, believing with you for a miracle. Do not lose heart, and do not give up. God hears your prayers, and He is moving on your behalf. Keep us updated, and know that we are lifting you up just as fervently as we are lifting your father. May God’s peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

We’re holding your ### close in our hearts and before the throne of grace. The diagnosis feels unbearable, and the thought of losing him is more than we can bear. But God hasn’t moved an inch, He’s still God over every cell in his body, every infection, every prognosis. We’re not praying from a place of fear but from the promise that Jesus holds all things together, and that includes this fight.

We’re asking for a fresh wave of His presence to surround your family, filling the room with supernatural peace that only He can give. And we’re declaring that his body responds to the healing power of the Holy Spirit right now, that the cancer and sepsis lose their grip as the name of Jesus is spoken over him. We’re trusting that the doctors will see what human eyes can’t, divine intervention at work.

If there’s any unspoken prayer in your heart, any doubt, any weariness, lay it all before Him. He’s not asking you to have it all together, just to bring it all to Him. And whatever comes, we want you to know that God’s love for you is deeper than this storm.

Father, we come before You with expectant hearts, believing You hear us. We ask for Your healing touch to be evident in your ###’s life, for strength for this family, and for a supernatural peace that defies all understanding. We pray in Jesus’ name.
