Please pray for healing for my cat ###

Alisha Kirshman

Servant of All
Please pray that God will heal and give my cat ### a full recovery. The Vet thinks she has intestinal cancer. She can't see the specialist until ###. Please pray that God will fully heal her, and take away any pain or discomfort she is in. Please pray that God will help her start eating normal food and drinking water. Please pray that he will help her have regular bowel movements and help her digest the food she is eating. Please pray that God will give ### and me the strength and the will to fight this thing. Please pray that God will guide my decisions and that I am doing everything I can for her. Please pray that God will hear my desperate constant cries to Him and that he will do all of these things for ###. Thankyou. In Jesus name I ask of these things and in Jesus name I pray. Amen.

We lift up your precious cat to the Lord, who is the Great Physician and the Creator of all living things. We know that God cares deeply for His creation, and we join you in asking for His healing touch. The Bible tells us in Psalm 147:3, "He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds." While this verse speaks to human hearts, it reflects God’s compassionate nature toward all He has made. We also remember that in Matthew 10:29, Jesus says, "Aren’t two sparrows sold for an assarion coin? Not one of them falls on the ground apart from your Father’s will." If God cares for the sparrows, how much more does He care for the creatures entrusted to our care?

We pray earnestly for , asking that the Lord would bring complete healing to her body. May He dissolve any cancerous growths, restore her intestines to full health, and remove every trace of pain or discomfort. We ask that He would open her appetite, strengthen her digestion, and help her to eat and drink normally again. May her body function as it was designed to, and may she experience the vitality and joy that comes from God’s healing power. We also pray for wisdom for you as her caretaker, that the Lord would guide your decisions and give you peace in knowing you are doing everything possible for her. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths."

We stand with you in this battle, declaring that God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). We rebuke the spirit of sickness and disease in Jesus’ name, commanding it to leave ’s body. We pray that her strength would be renewed, and that she would be restored to full health. We also ask that the Lord would sustain you emotionally and spiritually during this time. It is not easy to watch a beloved pet suffer, but we know that God hears your cries and sees your heart. Psalm 34:17-18 assures us, "The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."

Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, asking for Your mercy and healing for . We trust in Your power to restore and renew, and we ask that You would work mightily in her life. Give and her owner the strength to endure this trial, and fill their hearts with hope and peace. May Your will be done, and may Your name be glorified through this situation. We ask all of these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We can hear the weight in your words, the love you have for ### and the heaviness of waiting until June for real answers. When a cherished companion is hurting and you can’t fix it yet, that feeling of desperation is completely natural. Please know you aren’t carrying it alone; we’re holding ### and all these specific needs before the Lord alongside you.

You’re already doing the right things, staying close to the vet, keeping the specialist appointment, watching her carefully. That’s real love in action. Keep offering her whatever she can comfortably take, and when she can’t, just sit with her; your steady presence brings its own quiet comfort. As you wait, pour out your heart to God without editing. He never wearies of our cries, and He draws near in the middle of helplessness.

Father, we lift ### up to You now. Please heal her body, ease any pain or discomfort, and help her eat, drink, and digest normally again. Give her strength and steady her through these hard days. And please sustain our friend, grant wisdom in every decision, fresh energy to keep fighting, and a deep sense that You see and hear every prayer. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

I hear the trembling in your plea, the anguish for your poor cat , and I am moved to lift her up with you before the mercy seat. The Lord, who holds the stars and yet stoops to feed the ravens, is not far from your sorrow. ‘Comfort ye, comfort ye my people,’ saith your God; and I would be a messenger of that comfort to you now. The very hairs of our head are numbered, and not one sparrow falls to the ground without our Father; how much more does He note the sickness of this creature you love, and the tears you shed?

You cry out for healing; it is the instinct of faith to ask largely, and you do well. I shall join my prayers with yours, entreating the Lord to touch , to remove that dread disease, to ease her pain, to open her mouth for food and water, and to bring her bowels into healthy order. He is the Great Physician, for soul and body, for man and beast, and with Him nothing is impossible. Yet even as you plead, let your waiting be with submission. ‘They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength.’ The strength to endure, the strength to hope against hope, the strength to say, ‘Though He slay me, yet will I trust in Him’, that is the portion of those who rest in His timing. The specialist cannot see her until the appointed day, but the Lord’s appointments are over all; He can work healing before then, if it be His will, and make the vet’s diagnosis a tale forgotten.

In this affliction, seek your chief comfort where David found his: ‘This is my comfort in my affliction: for Thy word hath quickened me.’ The bare letter of Scripture? No, the Spirit quickening your soul through it. When the heart is faint, the promises are like leaves from the tree of life, leaves that are for the healing of the nations, and for the healing of your troubled spirit too. The least thing about Christ is full of virtue. I pray God will so quicken you that, whether recovers or fades, you may know a peace that passeth understanding, and be established in every good word and work. Sometimes He comforts us not by a distinct act, but by quickening us; and that inward renewal is richer than any ease of circumstances.

You ask for strength and guidance. He has promised, ‘I will strengthen them in the Lord.’ It is His own word, and He will perform it. He will guide your decisions, for He is the Shepherd who goes before. Cry to Him still; let your desperate cries never cease, for He bends His ear. Yet remember that even if the shadows gather, you shall forget this misery as waters that pass away, for time, and better still, the sweet consolations of Christ, heal many a wound. I will not offer you a hollow comfort, but I point you to Him who, in the garden, said, ‘Not my will, but thine, be done,’ and who ever lives to make intercession for us. He knows your sorrow; He is touched with the feeling of our infirmities. May He comfort your heart and establish you, to the praise of His glory.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You pour out your soul with many words for a creature that cannot speak, begging God to heal your cat's body. This is not evil, for the righteous man regards the life of his beast. Yet I ask you: when your own soul lies wasting with the cancer of sin, do you cry out with such desperate fervor? Do you strain toward heaven with the same urgency for the medicine of immortality? You run to veterinarians, you count the days till a specialist can see her, you watch every morsel of food she takes. But your soul how often do you bring it to the house of healing? How often do you sit at the feet of the apostles and prophets, letting the Spirit's blade cut away the tumors of pride, the ulcers of greed, the inflammation of worldly cares? If the sickness of a beloved animal pierces your heart, what should the sickness of your own eternal spirit do?

The devil trembles at a soul that hangs continually over the fountain of divine teaching, that writes God's law on the tablet of the heart. This trial is permitted not to crush you but to tame the wild beast within you the untamed passions, the attachment to things that pass like water. You ask for strength for your cat. Ask first for strength for yourself, strength to say with the Apostle, "I have suffered the loss of all things and count them as refuse, that I may gain Christ." The serpent gives up its body to save its head; give up every earthly comfort, even this dear companion, to keep the faith unharmed. That is the head, the root. If it remains, though you lose all, you recover all with greater splendor.

You pray constantly, and this is good. But perhaps you have heard the word ten times and remained insensible, and now God sends this one sharp blow to fell the tree of complacency at last. Many who seemed deaf to repeated admonitions later showed abundant fruit from a single stroke. Do not let your heart be hardened. Let this suffering become the occasion to recover your spiritual sight. For the love of any created thing, when it clouds the eye of faith, acts like an evil humor collecting on a clear eyeball. See how dim your vision has become: you speak of the cat's digestion, her bowels, her food and water, but where are your tears for the spiritual bread you neglect, the living water you so rarely thirst after? We portion out all our time for trifles and then grow sick at the thought of hearing divine doctrines even twice a week. Is it any wonder the soul lies in a weak and nauseated state?

Christ ever lives to make intercession. He is able to save to the uttermost. Cast yourself upon that intercession, not only for the life of this animal but for your own deliverance from the mire and clay of worldly affections. The things of this life are a torrent that passes away; only the rock of Christ stands firm. Your cries are heard, for the High Priest who sends angels to cast some into the furnace and to save others is not deaf to the groanings of His children. But He may not answer as you wish. He may not heal your cat. Paul prayed thrice for the thorn to be removed, and the Lord answered, "My grace is sufficient for you." If He takes away this small comfort, it is to give you a greater Himself.

Do not despair. Even now, late in the day, recover yourself from the depth. Let every season be for the teaching of heavenly philosophy. Sit in the surgery of the Scriptures; let the knife cut deep. If wholesome meat seems unpleasant to your sick soul, that is the very sign of your disease. Persevere. Perhaps when you have come to the very gates of despair, the recovery will come suddenly if not for your cat, then certainly for your soul, renewed in strength to lay hold on eternal life. This is the divine incantation that charms away every wound: "We suffer for Christ." Say it often. Let it be your food when the animal will not eat, your drink when she will not drink. Then, whatever befalls, you will enjoy a great calm.

I hear the desperation in every word you’ve written, and I want you to know that God hears it too. You are pouring out your heart over this small, beloved creature, and not one of those cries escapes His notice. The very fact that you are turning to Him with such intensity is evidence of a faith that He honors, even when it trembles.

Scripture shows us a God who names Himself after our need. In your cat’s suffering, He is still Yahweh Rapha, the Lord who heals. When Jesus walked among us, He healed multitudes, touching the sick, restoring bodies, silencing pain. His broken body, which we remember at the table, was given not only for the forgiveness of sins but also for the wholeness of His creation. There is no doubt that He is able to do whatever you ask.

And yet, we must also hold that truth alongside another one: God does not promise to heal every sickness on this side of eternity. The apostle Paul pleaded three times for relief from his own affliction, something he called a thorn in the flesh, and the answer was not removal but sustaining grace. That was not a failure of faith; it was a different kind of mercy. I recall a story of a group praying earnestly that when surgeons opened a wife and mother, they would find no cancer. They did open her, and the cancer was so advanced they closed her without operating, sparing her from a procedure that would have only added suffering without hope. Their prayer was answered, just not in the shape they first imagined. God did not remove the cancer, but He granted a kind of reprieve.

So as you pray for a full recovery, for appetite and water and normal digestion, you are right to ask boldly. Jesus invites that. But I would also gently encourage you to widen the petition: ask Him for the best outcome according to His wisdom, whether that looks like miraculous healing or quiet comfort and release from pain. He knows the number of hairs on that little head. He formed her, and He cares for her. Your desperate cries do not fall on deaf ears.

Ask Him for the strength you mentioned, for her and for you. Ask for clear guidance with every decision, and then make those decisions with the peace that you are not alone in them. You are doing everything you can; that love is a reflection of the Shepherd’s heart. Let this trial drive you closer to Him, not because your pleading will force His hand, but because He is the One who walks with you through the valley, however this season resolves. He wept at the tomb of a friend He was about to raise. He is not distant from your anguish.

I will pray with you. I will ask God to heal your cat, to ease all discomfort, to restore her body, and to grant you both a miraculous turnaround. And I will also ask that His presence be so real to you right now that you can entrust her to the One who holds all life in His hands. May His perfect peace guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus, no matter what the specialist finds. He is with you. He hears you. In that you can rest.
