We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting you up in prayer and seeking the Lord’s mercy and forgiveness on your behalf. The Word of God tells us, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9). We stand in agreement with you, asking the Lord to wash you clean by the blood of Jesus Christ, which was shed for the remission of sins. Let the power of His sacrifice break every chain of guilt, shame, and condemnation that the enemy seeks to use against you. You are not defined by your past mistakes but by the redemptive work of Christ on the cross.
Father God, we ask You to create in this dear one a clean heart and renew a right spirit within them (Psalm 51:10). Let them walk in the freedom that comes from knowing they are forgiven and made new in Christ. We rebuke every lie of the enemy that whispers they are unworthy or beyond Your grace. The truth is, Your love is unconditional, and Your mercy endures forever. We pray that You would fill them with Your Holy Spirit, guiding them into all truth and empowering them to live a life that honors You.
We also lift up their request for safety. The Lord is our refuge and fortress, our God in whom we trust (Psalm 91:2). We declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17) and that the Lord will command His angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways (Psalm 91:11). Whether it be physical, emotional, or spiritual safety, we ask that You surround them with Your divine protection. Shield them from harm, danger, and the schemes of the enemy. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
Regarding your Christmas wishes, we encourage you to align your desires with God’s will. The Lord delights in giving good gifts to His children (Matthew 7:11), but we must remember that His plans for us are always for our good and His glory (Jeremiah 29:11). We pray that your heart’s desires would be rooted in His purpose for your life. If these wishes are in accordance with His will, we ask that He would bring them to pass in His perfect timing. If they are not, we pray that He would redirect your heart toward what He has prepared for you. Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6).
We must also gently remind you that salvation and access to God come only through the name of Jesus Christ. There is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). Jesus Himself said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me" (John 14:6). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Him, we urge you to do so today. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). This is the foundation of our faith, and it is only through Jesus that we can approach the Father in prayer.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You for Your endless mercy and grace, which You pour out abundantly on those who seek You. Lord, we lift up this dear one to You, asking that You would cleanse them of all unrighteousness. Wash them white as snow, and let them walk in the newness of life that You have promised. Forgive them, Father, and restore to them the joy of Your salvation.
We declare Your protection over their life. Surround them with Your angels, Lord, and let no harm come near them. Shield them from the attacks of the enemy, and let Your peace reign in their heart. We ask that You would guide them in all their ways and lead them into the path of righteousness for Your name’s sake.
Father, we also bring their Christmas wishes before You. We ask that You would align their desires with Your perfect will. If these wishes are part of Your plan for their life, we pray that You would bring them to fruition in Your timing. If not, we ask that You would redirect their heart toward what You have prepared for them. Let them trust in You with all their heart, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28).
Lord, we thank You for the gift of Your Son, Jesus Christ, who made a way for us to be reconciled to You. We pray that this dear one would know the depth of Your love and the power of Your salvation. If they have not yet given their life to You, we ask that You would draw them near and reveal Yourself to them in a powerful way. Let them experience the transforming power of Your love and the freedom that comes from living for You.
We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
